This is informative. Thank you Friday and the host. I am seeing CO2 emissions reduction in building from the angle of insulation to reduce energy used to heat and cool. I am also in the sustainability space but we are researching low global warming potential refrigerant usage in heating and cooling systems. To see how they reduce CO2 emissions.

That’s great. What are the low emissions refrigerant options you are considering in your research? Are you coming up with a new material?

I have been doing aerogel research for over one year. I do polymer aerogels from cellulose for local solution in Kenya, from healthcare, home insulation,

@@RarosueAmaraibi. aerogels world is very wide and goes beyond silica. other materials can also be used in making aerogels. it needs constant learning and multi-disciplinary approach, with some touch of nanotechnology.

Great insights, Friday! Per reduction of carbon emissions, do you have the knowledge of the carbon emissions associated with aerogels manufacturing on industrial scale? And how does this compares with the amount of emissions to be potentially taken care of by the utilization of aerogels?

Hey Richard, thanks for watching. He did say in the video that he dies t have exact numbers but there is definitely a significant net savings. We can definitely confirm estimates from research papers.
