Since Tajikistan is a neighboring country to Afghanistan, thousands of refugees are taking shelter for years. I came to visit Vahdad, a city next to the capital Dushanbe to interview local Afghan people about their experiences in Tajikistan.

Tajikistan is the smallest country in the region , with lack of land and resources. The Economic situation is not the best, most people going abroad to make money. But despite all this hardships, we welcomed refugees as much as we physically could, and also trying to help them to find a job, open business or for further recollection. There are much bigger and richer countries in the region, but none of them would dare to take any refugees. It’s not just because tajik and afghan are the same people, but rather our hospitable mentality. Iran is also hosting the largest refugees group from Afghanistan. This brutal, endless, pointless war that, West was got involved in it, must stop so the people could return to their hometowns. We love out brothers and sisters no matter what! Peace&love❤

The people left the country because of Taliban. The "pointless war" is a war against terror. If you love to live under Taliban then why don't you move to Afghanistan? If you want the war in Afghanistan to end, maybe start by forming a legitimate government that does not support terrorists! You Afghans can live in your poor Islamic country with no future if you want as long as you keep it in your borders. I just pray for the young girls living there that the stupidity of their people doesn't allow them to lose hope for their future.

Lieber Stefan! LG Markus

I am from Tajikistan and I do not distinguish Afghan Tajiks from local Tajiks until they speak in their accent. Also, the Hazaras are very similar to the northern Tajiks and our local Uzbeks. It is also difficult to distinguish them from the local population. But I immediately distinguish the Awghans/Pashtuns as colour people in the USA. Pashtuns are black, like Punjabis and Hindus.

If you have visited Afghanistan, how can you mistake a Hazara person for a Pashtun? Given that Hazaras have been targeted and massacred by Pashtuns for decades, if not centuries, it's insensitive to ask people who fled Taliban whether they would wish to return to Afghanistan. Hazaras have been fleeing from persecution and some have relocated to Australia, Canada, US, Germany, Iran, Indonesia, etc, even before the Taliban takeover. Due to the language divide in Afghanistan, I presume Pashtuns mostly took refuge among the Pashtun community inside Pakistan. That's why you won't find many Pashtuns in Tajikistan. I hope you understand the significance of girls studying. In the eyes of the Taliban, art, music, or dancing is unislamic. Co-education is unislamic, western clothing is unislamic...Tajikistan may be the poorest in Central Asia but it's still a world apart from life in Taliban Afghanistan.
@c0detearz320
@c0detearz320 Жыл бұрын
hazaras first came to Afghanistan with the Iranian invasion, so the hazaras came to attack first, pashtun land goes way beyond any Mongol conquest of the land, and even back then it was the Mongols who attacked and invaded first so again stop crying, I'm a half pashtun half Mongol myself, conflicts happen, but pashtuns are good people and Allah and his prophet's law is final, anything else can be quite, you have no place to complain about those who have lost blood to establish shariah.

Art is fine providing you don't replicate living things, it was very rare to see living things on masjids, only example I've seen is in Baghdad, but whatevers not good for the masjid shouldn't be good for your home's.. if the market place is one of the most hated dwellings in Islam what makes you think a party is something any better

@@Kobulione Tajikistan is very different from Afghanistan. Tajikistan is heavily influenced by Russia. It’s also less religious than Afghanistan. Afghanistan is kinda backwards when it comes to religion and things like female education or wearing the burka. The Soviet Union helped to make Tajikistan better. That greatest argument between communism and capitalism/colonisation & the "evil" communism are shown in the central Asian countries vs South Asia. Afghanistan after 20 years of a so called Nato intervention is a train wreck. Taliban has inherited a whole load artillery, arms and ammunition not forgetting the Toyotas & Hummers (I'm not sure the correct name). Pakistan is slightly better. Nepal & Sri Lanka are in turmoil. I know that there are comments about free press, nepotism, corruption etc. but I think they're doing a great job. I have made this dividing line in the world. If under normal circumstances you have clean shoes free from dust or mud from walking the normal streets, life is respectable there. One last the thing, Dari/Persian/Farsi/Tajik are basically the same language & culture. The nationalities were created by colonial empires. Afghanistan was cutoff from the Persian/North-Central Indian Empire as a buffer to the new Russian & British Empire. Tajikistan found itself firmly under Russian influence was Afghanistan made with loose borders with mainly Afghans split the Afghan nation into being Indian (later Pakistani/Indian) nationality or Afghani. That's why you cannot spot the difference between an Afghan Dari or Tajik because their dress code etc is similar. It's like trying to spot an East Berliner from a West Berliner. 😂 Good luck with that. Great video. Really enjoy your initiative to bring a different perspective to the world. I can speak English/Dutch/Low German/Afrikaans/Flemish but cringe to most videos recommended which are American, which I am really not keen on. Danke van Auckland af.

The girl answered several times that there are no such restrictions, but you tried, again and again, to get her to answer differently. You must admit that Tajikistan has accepted Afghans and is trying to help refugees in every way. Do not create a false picture. Very unprofessional of you.

Tajikistan looks like it is doing rather well. I see a lot of construction projects. As for the learning center, I imagine they receive monetary aid from a US agency. I hope it is not the CIA !

How is this video? It provides some information, but as you watch it, you may notice a divide between people based on their ethnicity or nationality. The video names Tajiks, Afghans, Pashtuns, and Hazaras, emphasizing physical differences. These types of videos can cause problems and division within a community.
