Kabul looks like it could just be a thriving, international city [it once was, wasn't it?]. I'm so happy you were able to walk up White Flag Hill - how sadly ironic that all the boys and men are smiley and friendly with you and yet they could be doing that and spending the time with their own women there. You said you were going home tomorrow. You must have some fantastic memories and stories. I've loved following your Afghanistan trip - not somewhere I'd ever want to go as a Gay man - you've really brought the country to life and shown it [albeit from a male dominated view point (not your fault)] in a good light.

You can always visit Iran to get an idea about how Afghanistan once looked like. Going from Kabul to Tehran / Isfahan / Shiraz would feel like travelling to a completely different world. Iranian women are super independent, stylish, modern, educated and have infinite freedom compared to Afghan women. Without the Islamic regime in Iran, that country would simply transform into something else. Good thing is that it will happen sooner or later. Once Iran is free, they can help relieve Afghanistan as well.

It is just heartbreaking to not see any women in the streets, the markets, the parks, the restaurants, the hill tops….etc. just locked away and shut out from life. Never to be outside properly feeling the sun or wind on their faces, singing or talking out loud, nurturing or fulfilling their minds and souls through education and learning or being able to work and earn their own money. A female tourist can experience all the things a man can in a country where their own women cannot. I can’t understand it and It is just heart shattering and I can’t begin to imagine what these women are going through inside. I do pray for them, that one day this will all change and they will be free to live life with the same freedoms. I wish and hope for all these women to know how special, important and worthy they all are 💖

As a woman I can’t tell you how sad I feel for these women. And I have to be honest I get a bit frustrated with the people who proudly boast about Afghanistan. I am sure most of those comments are men. I often wonder how women in the west say we are fighting for equality in the west. Then you look at places like these and you realize we women in the west have it really good. There is nothing that a man can do that I cannot do. We are free. And these women don’t realize they are trapped like the birds in the cages.

When I got to the last checkpoint at Kabul airport before leaving I was stopped because I was not with a man (I was dressed like a local) .. I whipped out my British passport and they let me go.. it was a very key moment I shall never forget.. the passport to freedom. It’s unbelievable really to think that men in the world control women as much as they do here. One day these women will go through their own suffragette moment but it will be harder than ours as they face stoning, torture and more. You might like to hear about some of the stories of women I have raised money for over on insta (same channel name).

Well they just got their freedom from US occupation, so technially they just like new country. So don't just focus on point where women limitation by taliban but forget US steal their minerals. not saying their rules to women is nice but they have projects to benefit its country and people. Please give them time, i'm sure they will do better.
