They never sustained any trauma. Abuse is undeserved punishment that creates both mental and physical scars. The olden day punishment of corporal punishment didn't create any of these things if done in the right state of mind. It's not done to hurt but to correct.

First of all, my African mom will never call me to ask how she can be a better mother. African parents already think that they are perfect. Haha Secondly, we are children are usually the ones who hold a meeting to discuss with our mom and let her know that we'd like to talk about a few things that will help our family grow before she permits us to sit down, she's listening...lol Thirdly, after we sit and start to discuss with her, we as African children choose our words carefully because the fact that we have been given an open ear and an opportunity to speak, it doesnt mean that we still can't get slapped or get our asses whipped. Lastly, my African mom will never allow us get to number two before you hear one slap on your face. She will start to sob after slapping you because she thinks that we choose to attack her and we are ungrateful kids. Then she yells at us. One punishment that is certain for a situation like this is "you kids will go to bed like that, shey you guys are ungrateful children" 😩😂😂😂 I miss the good old days when I use to live with her. She never wanted us to grow up and it was war moving out of her house just to go to school. Now, I miss her and I miss the good old days.
