Thanks for the great video. I'm an ophthalmologist and I think the sooner we can put this to use in our department the better. The financial argument would be pretty easy to put to magagement; I imagine being able to see something like 30-50% more patients if all the documentation/admin was automated (as well as making the experience of the consutlation better for both physician and patient). A big hurdle unfortunately might be our IT systems. I'm not even exaggerating when I say that (after building a brand new multimillion pound eye clinic a few years ago) we still struggle to do simple tasks like print prescriptions/theatre notes, have to ask colleagues to log off certain clinical systems because we've hit the licence limit, etc. etc. It's both mad and sad, because the opportunities if the technology is harnessed to its full potential appear to be massive (reminders to take eye drops - yes!). I do believe we will get there, in the fullness of time.
