The amount of medical knowledge is beyond human capacity to absorb much less apply. AI with human doctors overseeing the process will enable us to actually utilize the knowledge we already have.

This is true in just about all industries and fields of study, but especially medicine. Medicine advancements will be the most significant and important part of AI’s success. I am so grateful and excited as a long time (since 2009) enthusiast of the technology. I didn’t think the things happening in 2024 would happen until the 2030 decade. It’s improving at an amazing pace.

Many doctors refuse to use Ai because they say they do NOT understand it. Therefore they do NOT trust it. To make doctors understand Ai, they need to know about physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, computer programming, and millions and millions of thesis involved in developing Ai which means making doctors understand and trust Ai is virtually impossible. The way to get round it is to have trained technicians collect the vitals, samples, and enter the information into the computer without having doctors involved. Interestingly enough, those doctors have NO problems in driving their cars, using their cell phones, sending e-mails, surfing the internet, using their office alarm system, etc. even though they have NO clue how they work. So Ai has to be used without doctor involvement. Human brain capacity a bit more than 100 pages of notes. Ai brain capacity is the whole medical university's library.

Why would you need human doctors “overseeing” anything when ChatGPT 4 is already scoring better than 85% of them on medical entry exams? And it’s barely a new technology. We don’t need fallible, arrogant physicians anymore. Thank goodness.

Current medicine keeps people trapped with mediocre results and sky-high bills. AI will revolutionize healthcare by delivering high-quality treatments at a fraction of the cost, but expect fierce resistance from doctors and insurance companies to keep profits.

You are right. I am confident that instead of a few companies coming up with cures it will now be thousands of small companies. I’m extremely optimistic and not all companies are evil. Some companies will actually value people more than profits.

Well pointed! AI especially in medicine must be regulated in order to prevent biased training and results of its key functionalities. The danger of AI in general is always about what kind of data and information is fed to it - what information is it trained on and how much neutral is it. Public AI must always stay neutral, however it's impossible to regulate private AI training models used for security or criminal purposes. AI is like human being which behavior is based on all inputs (including electro-chemical) since conception till death.

AI will evaluate the statements that the FDA is paid not to, and then it will recommend naturally occurring substances where their use is warranted.

The most pressing change in medical care is access in a timely manner to medical care. Without it, medical advances is meaningless. Hopefully, AI can help.

If its just a screening tool that would be helpful. If it starts diagnosing the wrong issue and prescribing the wrong medicine, then thats a problem.

I think right now it would screen, flag, then the human expert would look at it to confirm. Wouldn't trust AI to do everything yet

It's going to take massive amounts of energy to run the gpus for the computing power of these AI machines for that power the cheapest would be and safest would be solar power this second would be offshore wind and the most dangerous and expensive would be nuclear which would be controlled by AI which would decide how safe things would be run it would be an ai's hands but then you could use the nuclear radiation for treating tumors
