There was a government official there that tried to prevent his wife from seeing him. Eventually he was flown out of the country to Germany where doctors ran tests and immediately knew he was poisoned.

The doctor died a few weeks ago of a "heart attack", even though he didn't have any issues before. The chief of the hospital, who told the media that they couldn't find any evidence that Navalny was poisoned, on the other hand got a huge promotion and is now part of the local government. What a coincidence...
