I just figured out I have allergies. Looked for advice on this and found you. Been trying to record music and my voice has been super, super raspy. It's been really frustrating... Thank you for sharing this and good luck to you.

Man, I feel you. I think what you describe it's completely my case. One of my nosestrils is almost always 70% blocked, (could be one or the other) I feel mucus in my throat all the time (I mean all the time, day, night etc) My voice feels very stiff most of the time and I can't reach my head voice easily. My falsetto is almost air. I spend hours a day inhaling steam, drinking plenty of water, nebulising, etc, to lighten up the mucus that's in my throat. Some days is very bad, some days a bit better... I know there is a problem out there. I was diagnosed with mite allergy and after your video I can see that my vocal chords must also be swollen. This is really depressing me, I don't know what to do, I have decided that I will try to be a singer or die trying it...but it's very frustrating to be all day steaming and trying to do something to improve this symptoms. Your video gives me a bit of hope. Do you know which chemical the injections you receive had? And have you fully sorted out your allergies? Thank you so much for your video!

Hey dude, I hope you get well and thank you for this great comment :). I've found have a very simple and disciplined diet, no processed foods at all really helped my allergies, I have no idea what injection they gave me but relatively sure it was a strong steroid that takes down all inflammation in the body. I actually have other health issues that I didn't mention here so I suspect some combination of factors impacts my voice, currently losing weight and doing a lot of exercise to help with my recovery, best of luck!!

Bro everything you just said, literally every word is what my exact case is. I know this video hasn't given me any medication but just to hear someone else come out and talk what about something I've always felt alone dealing with is such a relief and I cannot begin to so how grateful I am.

Just got back from an ENT and they deduced allergies are my issue to. I ended up over using my voice while fighting it and now I’m all screwed up but I don’t have nodules so there’s hope. Thank you for this video, I had a dream that my voice was free. I look forward to living that out. I have no idea what I’m allergic to.

Illness and infection can affect the voice I had a urinal infection and was very ill for 2 weeks, after taking antibiotics the infection went away leaving my voice hoarse and unable to reach notes in the higher range while the lower range is slightly better, hopefully, my vocals will improve over time

I found out I have dust mite allergies, which gives me chronic post nasal drip. It's brutal for vocals, and even talking on certain days. I started taking immunotherapy shots (two months in so far). I hope it fixes my issue soon.

Hi, thank you for that video. I think I am in the same box. I got some question. After that injection you will have known what are you alergic for? Did you make a alergic test? You just got one injection, and it helps for longer? Glad for this video... I would like to bring mu voice back :(

I'm going to have to give your diet a go, tbh, I've thought about it before. I had chemo 5 years ago and it took me half a year to get my voice back, just exercising. Two weeks ago I suddenly lost it again completely. Very frustrating! Today I am a lot better, except in my upper range. I have dropped coffee and drink a lot. Your story is really encouraging, I so hate not being able to sing!

@@BecomingANaturalSinger I have another very interesting thing going on that might be implicated. Next time we have a lesson it'll be interesting to see where I am. Based on this video today's food was a little different than normal. I'm quite aware I've some intolerances and how they manifest. Might just take a little extra incentive to actually adjust though.

Hi Carl, question? So is this a good thing? Will you change the way you eat for the rest of your life? Being not inflamed is definatly a good thing, but changing your eating style may be hard. I have been doing the Keto diet, or Lifestyle change and lost 40lbs. I'm not inflamed as I used to be but havent noticed the difference in my singing. I'm glad your more confindent in your singing Carl, you are a wonderful singer!
