Amber Ruffin is a National Treasure. I just finished the audiobook she and Lacey wrote. (I love reading, but I couldn’t bear to miss the chance to hear she and Lacey reading it. I made the correct choice.) I love Amber Ruffin so much. She sits in the same room in my heart at Betty White.

She occupies the same chamber of my heart that I had once exclusively saved floor Betty White. Now it is Betty and Amber, improvising songs in my heart both day and night.

SNL wastes the talent. Melissa V. is so talented, and they don't even use her. I'm glad Amber didn't disappear in the SNL stable.
@dawnharris61623 жыл бұрын
Absolutely!!!
@rachelrachel91522 жыл бұрын
Yeah i really give melissa a lot of props for sticking it out. When i think of how sasheer got almost nothing in all her years even though she was always so perfect on stage i get so upset, from the little she did i felt like she had the power to be as strong as cecily (unintentional pun) and they just could not or did not give her her niche. Even with Ego now i mean sure she's on a lot but i think success on snl is way more about characters and she really doesn't have many. I want to believe Amber wouldve had the personality to push thru but i think even she would've gotten relegated to filling easy trope characters

Yes!! To the question about “how did we get here?” We KNOW we’ve been lied to. But I never even knew what questions to ask!! Omg! Daughters of the Confederacy!??? I learned that from my sculptor mentor! I could BE in their club- and I had no idea they wrote our history. I almost lost friends because I was taught a pack of lies in school.

So glad she didn't get picked up at SNL. Not every comdian needs that mega platform. I'm sure SNL regreats not casting her. Why else give her her own show on Peacock? Can't afford losing her talent to another network.

I smiled through this episiode, but I Laughed Out Loud when some girl (yes, she was 10 or so) said to my mum "Happy birthday, Sacagawea". (My mother had dark hair and high cheekbones, as do I, but no one has ever called me "Geronimo". :-)
