It has come to the point that it is no longer profitable for the fishermen. Very similar to what is happening to salmon fishing in the "Monterey Bay Sanctuary".

Chesapeake bay soft-shell blue crabs are the best & tastiest crabs for eating in the world. That is as far as I'm concerned, some may disagree with this. Some folks like other crustaceans or other kinds of seafood better. Remove the crab's lungs/devil & then fry it with a bit of Old Bay seasoning & enjoy a one of a kind tasty meal. 🦀🥪
