Summers in Africa

2 жыл бұрын

On October 25, 2021 my husband and I moved with our 8 children from The United States of America to Gambia, Africa! We made this move without a backup plan! We are an African American family moving back to Africa. Going back home to Africa is a dream come true for our family. We'd like to share this journey with other families who would like to know what life is life moving to Africa from America.

As Salamu alaikum, sister! Thank you for a showing a little bit of the mall at the end of your video. So few vloggers show the modern side of west Africa. Yes, I’m sure small, local shopkeepers have plenty to offer but people should know that if they like malls, cafés, and familiar “western” atmospheres sometimes, this is an option. Looks like you treated your teens to a relaxing day🙂

Every time your boy spoke he made absolute sense to me and it was even better for me that it was in a few words. His subsequent answers were also straight to the point. You did the mummy thing a few times by wanting a more elaborate answer which unfortunately isn't how young men speak and so it is a big ask. This is the first video I have ever seen and I have subscribed because y'all are amazing. Take it or leave it no offense intended. I would predict that if you let Adam be himself answer how he feels without additional pressure as he is coping with the transition as best he can. You will be shocked that he will eventually relax more and his answers shall become more elaborate. It won't hurt to try. Now I can go and enjoy the rest of the video:)

The Harvard comment is an instant internet classic. Why don't we look at what they did in India with minimal resources but sustained and consistent actions. They attacked the mosquitoes habitat. Worked with scientists to produce products to stop their reproduction and educated all the local people over years on how to attack them in their habitat. Not completely there but a lot of progress.

I actually don’t have the answer to this question. It would have to be investigated. Thank you for watching.

My daughter graduated already and my son is homeschooled. They've been homeschooled for around 6yrs...when we were in the US. We still use an online curriculum here in Gambia.
