The USA is not a democracy, it's a Constitutional Republic in fact, the words democracy do not appear in the Constitution, The Bill of Rights nor the Magna Carta. The individual STATES have rights themselves, in which the citizens of those state make a choice on the laws they want to enjoy, which is why R vs W was so brilliantly fixed by President Trump.
