It's a good start. If it's developed in the right direction, it will help you succeed. But for me, there is a way to store energy without using batteries because their lifespan is short and the cost is very high. When they expire, they are difficult to dispose of. So I use wind energy to circulate water energy, that is, use a wind turbine to pump water up and store it on a tank. When there is no wind, release the water to spin the water turbine to produce electricity. Doing this will circulate and get continuous energy without using batteries.
@WardenWolf7 күн бұрын
I had the similar thought of using solar to power your well pump to an elevated tank, then using it to power a turbine as it flows down to a lower tank. This would also maintain water pressure.
@SvenShalom4 күн бұрын
Wind is crazy inefficient (I've put up hundreds of Industrial mills) even if you actually have wind, and the water system and even more so the amount of water stored necessary to create a continuous cycle is off the chart even with an efficient charging armature. Further, LiFePO4 Lithium Batteries are 1/3 the weight as LA Batteries0 and 1000 times the cycle rate..even a cheap LiFePO4 can now last decades. Plus, batteries that were $1200 a decade ago, if you could find them, are now $150-200 to your door. Nothing is more efficient dollar for dollar than modern solar.

My wind turbines and generators are very efficient and very small, and can be used together with electric cars, hidden under the hood, without the need for batteries.

3:26: Well, Frugal Solutions, you've taken this long to introduce the subject, so I'll cut right to the chase and say that they use ENGINE-POWERED GENERATORS for their electricity. Sometimes they even use solar panels --- with batteries and inverters, of course. Just up the road from those technological Amish grandparents I had during my childhood was a dairy farm that had its own electricity which came from a large diesel engine/generator setup outside the building. What about the milk tank's refrigeration system, you might ask? Well, that was a technological setup which involved automatically starting the generator --- on a 24/7 basis --- every time the refrigeration system kicked on. So far everything you say about the Amish in this video is right on the mark. By the way, I live in Lancaster County. I used to live in Franklin County, and there are Amish there also.

8:37 Truth be told that most ac power tools have universal motors with carbon brushes, meaning they are Dc motors that can be run off of 12 volt car batteries, you only need to splite the male end of a extention cord open and attach the white or red to the positive terminal and the black to the negative terminal of a car battery.

@DaveGray-j7q17 күн бұрын
stick shadow only is perfect for one day although each season it works well. You just stand a short stick on your panels at 12:00 mid day. if you see no vertical shadow it is perfectly in line with the sun. Of course this actually changes everyday. Mine adjust up and down so I can change them with each season. Flatter in summer, more vertical in winter.

WINDMILLS. AND SOLAR PANELS..BRING ELECTRICITY WITHOUT HARMING THE WORLD ENVIRONMENT
@jerrytalley80213 күн бұрын
I have solar and love it, but if anyone thinks solar is a green, non polluting form of energy, is fooling themselves. Look it up, not me saying it. Then, to really go green we need lithium batteries to store the energy. look how they mine it? It’s great technology, my bill in 2024 averaged under $7 a month, as close as I can get with net metering. I also get a report showing carbon offset per month. It averages about the equivalent of 7 trees. So, spend $24,000 for just the panels installed, or don’t cut 7 trees that would have shaded the panels. This is facts from someone that owns solar since Sept 2017, it is the greatest cash on cash investment of my life, but green it ain’t, sorry.
