This video primarily focused on Pep's tactics and nothing about Amorims's and at the end gave ratings. Bro see how Amorim neutralize City attackers, letting Maguire start for the first time totally neutralized Haaland, Lisandro pressing high on KDB at times and held city to 0.3 open play xG while ManU have around 1.5 But still United have a better overall xG Also Pep was a genius with the tactics he came to begin the match but Amorim had plans for it in the second half. While they were pressing 3-2 in the first half, they switched to 2-3 that totally neutralized Pep's genuis. Yeah they were lucky too...But in this match Amorim had every answer to Pep and neutralizing their tactics. Had United have better players, could be more than 2-1 and not even concede that goal tbh But United are just shit at defending set piece rn

@robertkivindu3405 сағат бұрын
Pep played to Amorim's trap. City's goal was via an awkward deflection which was unexpected. Otherwise utd contained City's attack. Only 2 shots made sense in terms of City's attack. Amad was Amorim's attack focal point- no surprise he was involved in both goals. Amorim outsmarted Pep. The other years City controlled all possession against utd- this one was close. Utd had better pass accuracy- these cannot be downplayed as luck but rather its been a plan.

No way pep gets a higher tactical score than Amorim. The match was decided on moments. City scored from a botched corner routine where they got lucky with a deflected cross. Man Utd scored from two City errors. But outside of the errors, Man Utd created more chances (Bruno 1v1, Amad header, and Hojlund penalty shout) and were able to limit City's effectiveness on offense (lowest box touches of the season for City and a very low open play xg). At best, both managers deserve the same score and I can see an argument for Amorim ahead.
@Xdx-bz1uy5 сағат бұрын
So Amorim Utd creating 3 big chances to Pep’s 0 earns him a 4.5? You’re biased
@ayudhh075 сағат бұрын
I think United's tactics were spot on, initially City were getting lot of ball but in that Mount injury moment, AMorim talked and tucked Amad inside rather than near touchline, I think Amorim completely knew what Pep was trying and also Amorim trusted his defence a lot to do the job for him...and for most parts of the game Amorim was trying to frustrate and tire the demotivated City players that too at home and slowly you started to feel around 60 mins that United were not going to lose the game. So it was not just 2 minutes of magic but United actually pushed and pushed for that magic moments to get created
@thuo10004 сағат бұрын
Pep needs to go back to his earlier system at City of using a false 9 or double false 9's. Prior to Haaland's arrival, City used to play not only entertaining football but they were very unpredictable in how they would score goals. You never knew which player would score and the midfielders at that time were regularly in the scoresheet. Ever since Pep started using the traditional striker system, City's structure changed as well. It worked great for 2 seasons but it became easier for other teams to decipher the system. You see, Haaland needs a KDB type of player to give him those pin point through balls or crosses. Without KDB, Haaland becomes highly ineffective. This is because Haaland is simply a goal scoring machine. He rarely offers any other thing unlike his predecessor, Aguero did. Aguero just like Haaland was a traditional striker. However, Pep slowly transformed Aguero to be more involved in City's game like build up play. So after a season or so, we begun seeing Aguero play in that false 9 role where he would link with City's midfield to progress play up the pitch. Aguero's movement allowed City to create numerical overloads both in the centre and in wide regions of the pitch. So opponents defensive lines were being stretched and disorganized for large times in the 90 minutes. With Haaland, Pep tried to make Haaland drop deep to link up with City's midfield but Haaland is "heavy". Due to his size, he cannot play those quick one twos and dribble in tight spaces like Aguero did. So Pep decided to use John Stones as a makeshift CM /CDM when City had possession. Since Haaland could not often drop deep to create numerical overload, Pep decided to be using one CB who pushes up as a CM to create those necessary overloads. Pep used this tactic mostly in the treble winning season. However, this system only works perfectly if you have the right player for it. John Stones is highly intelligent and thus fitted perfectly in that system. Ake and Akanji are not as good in that system as Stones. I think Pep needs to go back to his striker-less system. Haaland is a great striker no doubt but he is heavily reliant on world class services from midfielders and if the midfielders are not at their best, then Haaland becomes ineffective which means that City's main source of goals is dried up. During the Aguero days, City were never reliant in KDB. I remember in the 2018/2019 season when City won the domestic quadruple. In that season, KDB suffered a serious injury that put him out for a couple of months yet City were still destroying teams with high margin score lines. Pep needs to go back to that system. The Haaland system is obviously great when it works but catastrophic when it doesn't. In City's earlier system, even if Aguero was injured, City would still beat teams comfortably. This is because Pep had created a system where there were multiple sources of goals. With Haaland now, it seems that this is a system designed with one major source of goals and this one source of goals is heavily dependent on one key midfielder. So if that midfielder is injured, then that one source of goal is seriously affected.

I wouldn't give Pep that high of a score. The only reason he went with the setup he did was because United's team leaked the day before.

Pep only has tatic discipline. His team has no social and emotional discipline. A great example was demonstrated when Kyle Walker did his best Raheem Sterling impression on Højlund, which granted him a gracious yellow card, offset the morale of his City teammates, and sparked passion for United to score a double within the last 5 minutes of the game.
@nkosinathindlovu93224 сағат бұрын
United will get there. If Amorim can do this w/o preseason. Imagine what he can do with preseason and clearing out the deadwood. Clear message was sent yesterday that those who don’t perform to the highest standards have no place. Amorim is no doubt a talented tactician and his methods are practical, even his training. Everyone was blown away by how well he the first training went. Clear identity from the get go. Compare that to ten Hag, no matter how good he was, he just can’t get his methods across. He also had favouritism. And that was the downfall. When you protect snakes, they will eventually bite you. It’s in their nature. Future looks very bright

Too much money for people from poor backgrounds tend to produce poor results. He bought a Rolls Royce at 24(?), while crying for school lunches... That leaves a poor taste. Why didnt he set an example by adopting a school? Sadio Mane, Salah, earn high wages, do see them bling? 2000 sneakers, Italian girlfriend (who dumped him), Rolls Royce... even Messie doesn't show off as much and he earns far more. It's their talent as footballers that rewarded them, as soon as fame become more important than your job, your fame is useless. Neymar, Mbappe, are other examples...
