I really like your approach to content creation. You analyze your videos (e.g. viewers leaving after seeing the match end screen) and then constructively ask your audience for their opinion. That makes it feel like you're tailoring the videos to our needs while increasing your video performance. Thank you for doing what you do :) Edit: didn't even answer your question. Personally, i like these map-based videos a lot. It's nice showcase for spots and positioning for attack and defense. And I don't miss the victory screen, since complete matches are not the focus here. Even in oder videos I think it'd be enough to mention that you won/lost the game without showing it

I like the spots too. One of my earliest hanzo spots that i learned from him was the bridge area on esperonca and onetime i saw a spot he used to battle a pharah on circuit royal and used that spot to hop over the wall and go to the far left door (from the defend side) bc i notice that no one ever goes out that side door so i have been using it to get picks on people that are too scared to leave the spawn room immediately

I honestly think skipping the victory helps - I've not thought about it before but seeing that really does something subconsciously imo. Also, I'd like to see more map specific clips! It seems fun :) Once again, great video.

You're doing great, man. I like all these different formats you're trying out, but I especially like the ones that are educational about the game. Understanding which plays are worth it or not is really cool (like holding first point and not peeking at all). Keep up the great content!

Heyyy just wanna say I love your approach to optimizing your videos and like asking us how we felt about something!! Just shows how much you care about your videos and the entertainment they bring! It feels like we have a lot of insight on your thought process and your creative decisions! About the question... While I watch all your videos in full I also feel like the victory screen makes it look like the video is ending because the game ending gives you a feeling of completion. For example whenever I watch a video by ml7 and it's appearing I will check the video length to see if there's another match and based on that I'll decide if I want to keep watching or stop. So yeah lange Rede, kurzer Sinn: I felt like removing the victory screen made the video seem more like a coherent thing and I love the idea about you going over the different kind of maps so we can learn better!! ❤

a cheeky way ive seen every so often to keep people realizing their is more to the vid is a slightly visable progress bar of the majority of the video play length(everything minus endcard basicly) at the bottom, this lets people realise there is more you want to show us without pointing it out.

Skipping the victory/defeat screen helps. Most people are focused on the movement, shots, strategies like a typical match. When the victory/defeat screen pops up they subconsciously think that is the end, which breaks their focus and makes their mind wander, sometimes off the video and onto another video. I enjoy watching you as a content creator, so I am looking on the side for the next Arrge recommended video :).

I think you can keep victory screen, just for the sake of clearance of match ending, but you can make it very brief, so that people don't have time to leave the video before seeing that there is another match. And the last victory screen can be longer because its the end of the video.
@jeeezup

The thing is if all the matches go in a sequence like this, it gets a little hard to catch if it's a different match. One thing you can add in, is a little bit of transition between the matches, so that is evidently informed that Oh! this is a new match right there. Much appreciated your reception to our opinions man 😁

in terms of retention you are right. it was a brain effort for me to realize it was another match on the same map when you transitionned from game 1 to game 2. very nice. the "victory" sound and screen is dopamine releasing, thus people quitting. just like when you made love, you dont wanna do it just after. same. if you cut the victory or defeat screen and immediately go to the other game, its better for retention. bonus points for cool wallclimbing transition

Absence of the victory screen does help me stay focused and zoned in on the gameplay. There is no break in between matches to break my focus which definitely helps a a little bit, I say getting rid of it does a lot of good in that regard but I never stop watching till the video goes to black so all the same to me really, love your vids and your one of a kind playstyle and I can't wait to see the next one (: P.S. Came here to say the same thing Xemoness said. The "Victory" screen doesn't add much. You could however, add some big, centered text (for a similar duration as the Victory screen) that says something along the lines of "Next match" to not only counter the effect of Victory screen, but also to communicate to viewers that more content is coming, to keep watching.

My journey of discovering and then binging certain OW content creators has been super fun for me. There is only so much youtube you can watch and its hard to hit every corner of content for OW. I have heard of you but I'm super glad I decided to hone in on what you bring to the game. Seeing how people perfect their main is always baffling to me (ZBRA, Aquamarine). You are easily the most patient motherfucker I've ever seen play this game. Incredible poise and marksmanship. You seem like a great guy as well. Much love and I'm stoked to add you in my rotation of content creators I will always watch. Loved this style of video but honestly could care less which parts (the victory screen or w.e) you decide to leave or take out. I'm here for the headshots.

Arrge bro trust me I don't think skipping the victory screen is a bad thing here. Like you can still keep it but for just a short 2 seconds or something. Other youtubers make highlight videos in a way that its fast and less you know idle parts of the game and sometimes they include the victory screen sometimes they don't. Its totally on you now. Anyways keep up. Full support. Waiting for your videos every day to watch them with a cup of tea in the morning.

Arrge, in response to your request about the Victory screen, please consider this in the context of short story telling. Keep in mind, just one person's opinion-->when I watch a youtube video, I love a story arc. That's why I love when opponents complain, or you are trying a strategy with a friend because all stories need an antagonist. Sometimes that antagonist is another player, sometimes it is you versus yourself, you versus a challenge, whatever, but any good short story, which youtube videos are, have a story arc with a set-up. I do not care so much about a Victory screen. I care about a meaningful conclusion to the story arc that brought me to the video. In this case, the conclusion to the story arc was you setting the tone with clips early, then I watched the clips in context. This fits within the larger arc of your continued mastery of Hanzo as your character. I feel like most of your videos could be drastically improved if you lean into this short story mindset and try to build out a narrative in your videos that follow a common thread per video. An easy example of this is the antagonist on the other team talking trash then losing. This is an engaging set up and the conclusion of the game is interesting, because then you get to see the last defeat of the antagonist. You can set this story line up with trying to accomplish a specific shot, trying out a specific spot, making us invest as viewers in your journey by setting a reachable goal and meeting this goal. People have liked stories for thousands of years. There are plenty of more examples of short stories you can tell, but keeping that short story POV would probably help you out a lot with video quality if you are looking to expand viewership. Good luck friend!
