In Scandinavia and Germany there is a popular weapon used in the armed forces called AK4. Stands for "AutomatKarbin" (automate carbine). Since the AK-47 was invented when Russia was meddling in Germany (in 1947) I always reasoned that the meaning was the same. Of course Mikhail Kalashnikov was the inventor of the weapon and therefore the AK-47 also goes with "Kalashnikov". Not sure I trust Wikipedia on this one.. Edit: In the Russian language the word for automate carbine seems to be "avtomat karabin". I am now convinced
@Andy.Morgan
@Andy.Morgan 2 жыл бұрын
The genius of Kalashnikov is that he was able to perfectly compile the best elements from the weapons technology of his time! No, he is not the inventor of the assault rifle. He is its creator. It's like the rocket designer Korolev, who sent the first man into space. He was not a scientist who discovered the laws of gravity and others. He managed to use them intelligently.

@@hawkeye4497 Because this is weapon for war, not for sports shooting. The Yankees are apparently accustomed to coming to war as if they were in a some fucking hunting ground. In reality, I can hardly imagine a situation where the standard shooter of a squad that includes a machine gun crew, a Makrsman with a semi-automatic target rifle, will have to fire at a longer distance. This is similar to the pointless requirement for a standard infantry bolt rifle to have iron sights for shooting per kilometer during the First World War.
@Ailasher
@Ailasher 2 жыл бұрын
@@hawkeye4497 "I am INDEED a hunter." Of course, I recognize the "parquet" shooter. You guys always act like a lone man with a rifle in the field: like you are in the woods or at the shooting range. Total individualists who do not realize a simple truth: the army is a mechanism, where the guy with the rifle is just a gear, the smallest one. "Yankees will be equipped with a 6.8 mm soon." I have only one word, three to be exact: automatic 120mm mortar.
@Ailasher
@Ailasher 2 жыл бұрын
@@hawkeye4497 "You are clueless." In this case: your words speak for your deeds: you don't even understand the logic which is hidden from you by the design of the AK, because you have never stuck in your forest for at least a week, in a trench dug by yourself, like me. Or you never had to oil your rifle with canned meat fat from your ration because of hours of intense combat, like soldiers from the 9th company of the 345th separate airborne regiment at an high point of 3234. "Too bad for you that your feelings got hurt over your beloved AK" This isn't my "beloved", it's just a tool. There are good tools and there are bad ones, there is something in between. And a good tool will not make you a master. Once again: the military is a special kind of creature, they are very cowardly and therefore prefer to go in packs. And in case of an unclear situation, call armor or art support.

Of all the videos out there with tens of millions of views (cats, pranks, songs, movie clips, etc) very few of them surpass the view count of this video of AK rifle design. It's pleasing to me to know that despite all the anti-gun propaganda and all the governments of the world trying to keep guns out of the hands of the people, the common man everywhere has an inherent recognition of the usefulness of guns and a fascination with them that is never going to go away. And this video is done perfectly, with clear animations, a cool/fitting piece of music to go with it, and shows you everything you need to see in about 2 minutes, with no voiceover. Perfect video!

@@zegh8578 You kickin’ it in full auto? The G3 is controllable in semi. In full, the thing jumps around. This can also be because the bolt carrier group is fucking massive. Every reciprocation, the damn bolt carrier hits you directly in the front if the stock. While in the AK, in only hits the end of the receiver, and not directly in front on the stock.

The watch-time is way down, so I guess people just aren’t as interested. Maybe I’m getting rusty as I inch closer to 40 😞. But anyway, thank you again for the kind words man. Matt Rittman Dude, you are missing an auto sear. It is a part necessary for automatic fire that is not present in a semi automatic rifle. The function of the auto sear is to hold the hammer in the cocked position and to automatically release it when the bolt fully returns to battery. Without the auto sear, the hammer would move forward contacting the bolt carrier and either detonate a cartridge out of battery, which is extremely dangerous, or just fail to strike the firing pin. Nice work on your animation skills, but you do not fully understand the function of the trigger group. I suggest you fix it.

A p90 has: the piston slide like the ak have. A trigger. A chaimber slider. A Hammer. A safety. A hammer slider. The fire needle. Thats it. So not 50 parts... the difference is the tollerance. The p90 fires a lot faster because much less power is wasted but it Results in problems if you put it in water with sand ect. But you can make it worse to fire less but more durable. Simple.

"Of all the weapons in the vast soviet arsenal, nothing was more profitable than Avtomat Kalashnikova model of 1947. More commonly known as the AK-47, or Kalashnikov. It’s the world’s most popular assault rifle. A weapon all fighters love. An elegantly simple 9 pound amalgamation of forged steel and plywood. It doesn’t break, jam, or overheat. It’ll shoot whether it’s covered in mud or filled with sand. It’s so easy, even a child can use it; and they do. The Soviets put the gun on a coin. Mozambique put it on their flag. Since the end of the Cold War, the Kalashnikov has become the Russian people’s greatest export. After that comes vodka, caviar, and suicidal novelists. One thing is for sure, no one was lining up to buy their cars." Yuri Orlov.

I'm glad that when reading the comments under this video, I don't often stumble upon discrediting the ak47 because some people think that if they unfairly litter everything Russian / Soviet, then the war in Ukraine will probably stop or I don't know why they are doing it, moreover, I'm glad that this is not so a lot of idiots who do not know how the stg 44 works and what is its difference with ak 47, but at the same time they say that ak 47 is its clone

Yeah, including nowadays where I see lots of anti-russian propaganda. People have to learn to not be unfair to people who are from a different country. The worst part about the war is that Russians have been portrayed as being the invaders no matter what. The citizens didn't have control over whether or not to invade

“What would happen if we took away the Second Amendment?” It would be the end of the United States of America. The first thing that would happen is that the authorities would attempt to get citizens who’ve believed in their right to self protect for most of their lives and they believe it with every fiber of their being. It would fail. The next thing would be confiscation. If even half of the approximately 150+/- million people that own firearms decide to fight back then that would spell the end of any law enforcement agency as a viable organization. After that the government would most likely take away the First Amendment because they would be successful initially and in doing so there would be entire families that get slaughtered by trigger happy law enforcement. The government would not want any of that publicized. It would end in complete anarchy. It would end with the dissolution of the United States. Which would be awesome to other countries such as Russia and China. They would, of course, incite Mexico to invade from our southern border and attempt to regain their version of Aztlan. A divided America is an easily conquerable America. Still feel good about removing the 2nd Amendment? www.quora.com/What-would-happen-if-we-took-away-the-Second-Amendment
