The role model commercial was the best and REALIST commercial at that time. It was totally on point.💯

My mom was totally offended at that one. I was already a big Barkley fan. And after that and to this day, 32 years later, I still think he’s a total badass, he has NEVER held his tongue. Not once.

low key, Charles was one of the first players to really start player movement. Always vocal without hiding his true feelings on the matter especially on the move from philly to the suns

I once read Barkley being described like this (paraphrasing): "The league is full of a bunch of assholes trying to pass themselves off as nice guys. With Barkley, you have a nice guy trying to pass himself off as an asshole."

Am I the only one that finds it hilarious to call a dude that's 6'4-6'5 a short fat guy? 😂😂😂

It's all relative to other players in league, not normal humans. Same way 5 footers in media would say "little Stevie Nash" about guy who is 6'3.

Barkley walked in a downtown Philly sports bar. Alone. With some old, turned over Nikes. Bought rounds for the house. Several. We busted on him, he clowned us. Black, white, Latino...laughs all around. No preening star shit, he was just another guy at the bar.

If I grew up in the 1990s, Charles Barkley would be my favorite basketball player of all time. And it helps he came to Phoenix in his prime/peak 🏜️

New to the channel. But if you haven’t done a deep dive into the 1984 NBA Draft class, you gotta. Even if you don’t have a video on the 1986 class you covered several players in the videos I’ve seen the last couple days. You’ve earned a subscription. And I don’t know why it’s only now that I’m discovering your channel. You guys do great work.

If Karl Malone wasn't such a terrible of a man more people may consider him as one especially considering he held the 2nd career total points for 2 decades.

Barkley is the greatest pf, ringless or not. His numbers are better than pf's people assume are better. And he was always at a height disadvantage.

One time he got to play in the Finals, the Suns put up a really good fight against the MJ led Bulls. Whether or not the elbow injury he had made a difference is hard to say but the thing is his team never went away in the first two games they lost until towards the end, makes one wonder how things could have gone had they stole Game 2.
