I UNDERSTAND ALL THESE THINGS, BUT IT IS VERY HARD TO EXPLAIN THESE THINGS TO PEOPLE WHOM DO NOT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING ABOUT ANYTHING. I HAVE DOWNLOADED YOUR VIDEO. NOW I CAN SHOW PEOPLE AND MAKE THEM UNDERSTAND THESE PRINCIPLES OF THE COMPUTER CHIP GYRO, THE HALL SYSTEM IN SMART MOTORS, NEODYMIUM MAGNETS, BRUSH-LESS OVER BRUSHED MOTORS, AND THE COMPUTER MOFFETT SYSTEM AND HOW IT WORKS. IM NOT GOOD AT GRAPHIC DESIGN OF VIDEOS, OR I WOULD HAVE MADE A VIDEO LIKE THIS. THANK YOU AGAIN.

Thanks for this video; this is the most elaborate animation and explanation of workings of an EUC I've seen so far. I always have one question though... Is the increased cost of this direct drive system (i figure hub motors are more expensive still?) justified against the gain in eliminating minor wear and tear of, say, a chain drive system used with a normal motor? I'm not well equipped enough to experiment with either just yet, but I do own an EUC with a hub motor and I'm always curious to learn more about all possibilities with EUCs. Thanks!
@Electro-sportDe6 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I think all the advantages of a direct drive have more weight then the money and you couldn't manage such a system with a hub motor - would be too slow to act and react in any way and has not enough power and you can't put it exactly in the postion you want to - and this is very important for an unicycle. On the other hand, for small applications you'll always need a small circuit to control the motor - with a hub motor you'll only need a power supply...

Very clear explainations. Good video and animations. Can you tell us more about the firmware and the way it controls the wheel ? Are there lot of differences between the various existing models ? Do they have the same qualities or are there better ones ?

I've seen the issue when the cycle is on and the wheel is not touching the ground the wheel can spin up and you have to fight with it for a moment as you set it down. The solution to this is so simple I just don't understand why it was not put in place initially. "Weight On Wheels" When there is no weight on the foot pedals the drive goes neutral. It goes partly active with weight on one pedal and full active when weight is on both pedals. It's so simple.
@Electro-sportDe6 жыл бұрын
TigerZero aka Allen No, that's not a matter of weight, it's only the balance of the gyroscope
@beyondfossil5 жыл бұрын
The hoverboards (two wheels) have the feature you are talking about for exactly the reason you mentioned too. I guess the electric unicycles may not have put this in because of (a) reliability concerns since the pedal is on the exterior and low to the ground and (b) cost. The other thing is the electric unicycles are faster than hoverboards. So, as you're riding the unicycle, you could build up enough speed where you hit a small rock or some uneven protrusion on the road surface and temporarily become weightless! Your weightlessness may switch off the electric unicycle's gyro control just enough to upset your balance and cause you to crash.
@choochtech7 жыл бұрын
if wheel is violently shaking back and forth is that the halls sensor?
@lefotografion3 жыл бұрын
Actually my Inmotion V8 had this twice after I hardly overpowered it. I thought too it was the halls sensor, but someone said it's software based. Kingsong 16X firmware 1.0 had it too, watch kujis video, and it was fixed via software update

"almost free of maintenance, for very long time/distance." what kind of mileage can a unicycle make before starting to feel wear and tear?
@lefotografion2 жыл бұрын
10000km with something like a veteran Sherman, then just the tire needs to be changed. Another 40000km and maybe the battery will start to show its age. Unless of course you crash it.

unicycles are great and fast , but the only problem is it does not have shock absorber , i had experienced it that if you are riding this for more than 30 minutes on sidewalks and not smooth surface , it become painful to the knee and foot. hope that this manufacture build new models with spring shock absorbers.
@flitsies8 жыл бұрын
+Alvin Abejuro Consider what would happen to the weight of the cycle if you added shock absorber, it would be heavier.Have you tried different types of foot wear ie boots or different types of shoes perhaps that would solve the problem of the pain in the feet, but the knees perhaps try a knee support, I see many people riding these with knee protection perhaps that gives support.But adding a shock absorber would increase the weight.
@tibhamel8 жыл бұрын
+flitsies your knees are supposed to be the shock absorbers. Don't ride with your legs locked, bend your knees just a bit, and keep them loose, that way they can bend more when there is a bump, much more comfortable and a lot safer!
@EUGUY8 жыл бұрын
Bend your knees more for a smoother ride. Sure its hard on your legs, but you will get stronger every time you ride :)

Hi, i lift and accidentally shutdown the power of my unicycle while the tire is spinning, it is now making crackling sound everytime i use it. is it bad?
@Electro-sportDe6 жыл бұрын
prince bellair crackling sound can have several causes: maybe only sand or waste in the wheel, maybe the cap of the valve or the worst case: a loose magnet in the wheel. It depends also on the wheel. A light "crackling" can also be the normal, magnetic noise.
