Anakin’s style is more than pure form V. If you watch AOTC and ROTS, you’ll see form IV acrobatics and wrist rotations which compensate for Djem So’s lack of mobility and allow him to ramp up the volume of his attacks. Vader’s technique is a hybrid as well - Djem So two handed power blows and guards combined with form II makashi one handed deflection parries and dexterous disarms. Anakin/Vader was a master at adapting to suit requirements.

whirls are purely inefficient in a realistic sword combat. i know its star wars, but genuine swordsmanship is not actually displayed by anakin - maybe in the books, but the movies/series are not near of being believably the best form of it

@DeathScepter Facts 💯 Makashi and Ataru had the best footwork. Makashi for moving back and forth, in and out of range, while Ataru's good for quick and rapid flanking around an opponent.

I agree. This was perfect Anakin's form. Experienced Djem-So. It's really nice to see how Anakin changed changed in world between world. Experience,balance,peace. He has that. He controls that. He has become what he was always meant to be. Master he was always meant to be. Chosen One. May the Force be with you too😊

Anyone can switch between forms, or even fight using moves from multiple forms, but combining the moves from different forms so they work together in harmony can be quite difficult. Combine this with deadly accuracy within the moment, and this practice can be downright deadly. I'm not sure we can understand exactly what sort of entity Anakin is. For instance, the Father, Son and Daughter stated the humanoid form they presented themselves to people was not their actual form. It's quite possible, Anakin can appear in a normal humanoid form in various locations in the universe (not just the World Between Worlds). He may also be able to become a force ghost and be seen by only those he chooses. When you consider Anakin's strength in the force now, there is no doubt he is likely the strongest duelist in the universe. Then add his ability to break one's guard and shut down their light saber or overcome the kyber crystal within the light saber as the Father shown an ability for, can instantly support this point.

What I found interesting was that Anakin in a sense is a mix of his masters. While he is a user of form 5 as his main combat style, he also uses other combat forms as well. Dooku and Obi-Wan's lessons for him helped in this regard. Forms 6 and 7 also. That's what happened when he became Vader. He took everything he learned from his mentors... both Jedi and Sith alike. I think that might be why he's become so powerful after his death. Anakin learned to embrace both worlds in a sense. His ways of teaching was quite interesting but remarkable.

One thing I liked was that Anakin's lightsaber in the World Between Worlds had an ever so slightly different sound to it, reflecting that this isn't Darth Vader's saber as we've known it, but this is what Anakin's saber, the famed Skywalker blade, would have become if Anakin had retained it after Mustafar and bled it.

They usually have it in mind like how dooku using form 2 generally uses 1 hand and obi wan is 90% of the time blocking in his fights and barely attacking form 4 is just a lot of acrobatics like with yoda and anakin is always on the offense like against barriss etc

He probably believed it was better to be attacking then on the defensive. An that. Good offense is the best defense is ALSO something shared between our reality an theirs an is something taught in their reality too.. probably one of his favorites. Along with narrated, he probably resonated VERY much with the style. Anakin might've been soundly beat in their first movie fight but then we saw just how good he got. Eventually being able to fight LITERALLY with the best of them. Finally finishing off Dooku either way and ALMOST being too much vs Kenobi. Of course aggressive actions are what any fighter in any way is trained for. Which is WHY Jedi, especially Councilors fight when there's no other ways of resolution left BUT also do so aggressive an without hesitation when they do. Gin an Yoda very much did in this way too. An that's the thing of fighting someone repeatedly SO MUCH. Eventually that same arrogance an "tunnel vision" Anakin fell victim to Dooku ALSO fell for an it helped do him in

I think Padme would be proud of the man he is in the world between worlds. I think at some point Anakin would show her the World between Worlds. Before someone says "Actually Padme can't go in the worlds between worlds because she's not force sensitive.", while she may not be force sensitive and it'll take sometime to get use to it; Anakin and Padme are like the "Liu Kang and Kitana" of Star Wars. If Skywalker really wants to he can and will bring Padme to the World Between Worlds.

Y’all have to understand too that Lucas said himself that Vader is the ultimate and best duelist in Star Wars history, from the ancients all the way to the future, the best of all time as well as Dave filoni too said that in cannon, Vader is the greatest duelist, “Vader in the time of the kenobi show was indeed very powerful and the reason we made kenobi beat him again was to keep up with the storyline of episode 4 a new hope, Vader said when he left kenobi he was but a learner but now he was the master, that’s the only reason. If vader beat kenobi, then he would never have said that and kenobi wouldn’t be alive, so we’re forced to keep up with cannon timeline as well as what Lucas wrote (legends). Now vader at the time of kenobi was strong in the force but still learning how to use the force after his injuries, and Vader at this time wasn’t at his peak in dueling, Vader is the only duelist in starwars to make the most perfect form, not even GM Luke in EU could make it, yes I’ll give credit where credits is due, Luke was a magnificent duelist, but Vader created one form from all of them, and what I mean by this is he made all the form combine into one but that you can switch into each form without leaving a single opening for your opponent to take advantage of, Vader could switch from form 2 and form 7 quickly with no opening, which is incredible to say the least as those form have 0 connected movements or swinging patterns. Vader at the time of kenobi still hasn’t learned all the forms and hasn’t perfected them all, he’s only perfected 5,4,3,and 2 which is what he knew in the clone wars, he knew form 3 so we’ll that kenobi had to switch to the aggressive form 4 which threw Vader off so much and allowed kenobi to beat him on top of plot armor because Vader never imagined kenobi would fight like this. If you (the interviewer) we’re to ask when vader perfected every form and became the greatest in history, going off of George Lucas timeline, it’d be at the time of rouge one that he perfected every form which is ten years after the kenobi show give or take a year.” Dave Filoni 2023- interview with Business Insider. Vader was the best duelist so much so that even in the novel and comics, sidious said he’d never touch blades with Vader, one is due to sidious believing he was beyond them even though he kept one on him all that time up to ROTJ and second which sidious said was the biggest reason is because Vader was far superior, despite Vaders injuries and massive cut in force powers, Vaders abilities in dueling far exceeded his own and sidious at this time was still amazing with the saber, in a comics he massacres some people with vibro blades easily like they were children so for him to say this, it says it all. So Vader being the greatest and then Anakin becoming a force ghost and now some god like being and having a perfect form in ahsoka is no surprise. Anakin is the pinnacle of dueling.

Anakin does have the perfect lightsaber form. He specializes in form 5 which is a good starter but then he has personal technique and skills from all his battles and encounters which is literally what a lightsaber form is supposed to look like. Then as Vader, his lightsaber style is literally perfect

So Anakin did everything he did because there was a sense of urgency. He had his Visions and he had to find a way to become strong enough to stop them from happening. This likely made him stuck on arails as he wasn't seeing the bigger picture. He would fight till he lost then figure out what beat him and aggressivly beat it back till he is beat again and rinse and repeat. Till Padme died. Then it's as if EVERYTHING grinded to a halt for him. Vader was completely opposite of Anakin. He was methodical. He put a lot of though into everything and never really let his passion take him and make him start swinging wildly like he did as Anakin in a tough situation. Vader Lived Literally half his life in the Light and half in the Dark. I never realized that before. He turned to Vader at 22 and Died at 45 (One year longer than his life as Anakin). He is born of both a human and the Force. He is literally the perfect "Balance" within himself.

Stupendous. Not an expert, but it seems to me like the meeting between worlds was telling Asoka that her transcended master was showing her that the time they studied together was a time of war. He had to teach her how to fight. Irregardless of his feelings... that's what The Force made his duty. She did what he couldn't. She left the Order without having to become a Sith. In death...Vader envies her.Reborn as a force ghost...Anakin wants her to realize she needs to stop fighting to fight. Living makes a soul understand what is worth living to die for.

So much drama! I enjoyed the Lucas made films because of the visual story telling. It didn't need all of these other elements. Orchestrating a war and commanding both sides of it to leave the stronger parts of the galaxy in ruin and to secure the resources that would power the empire; all while remaining undetected would've kept anyone pretty busy, even a darklord of the sith. How he had time to groom and indirectly train a young jedi is unthinkable!

Brothers, i've only watched clone wars (03, 08) and the 6 films, the originals. however i've seen people tie the original with the 2003 & 2008 clone wars and with some comics and then everything somehow no longer makes sense but then makes sense again with the new start wars stuff. i wanna get back into star wars but how in the ****** does one do that now. does anyone have a "guide" to how to get into star wars ?

I'm a philosopher. (sorry, heh) That Anakin is born of the Force, apparently due to lore-reasons the machinations of a Dark Side Master.... ...for the purpose of bringing balance to the Force...? The Dark Side was apparently unaware of the entirity of the purpose being brought, in Anakin, or more likely all that claimed to be "Dark Side" refused fellowship with The One. Something I would like to have asked ongoing is if Anakin IS the balance that the Force wanted, and is a fulcrum around which the rest of the galaxy spins, "what" are we struggling against? I've always seen Star Wars as a retelling of the ongoing narratives, bla bla bla.

Vader is the best dualist. Anakin will always be the better man. Vader killed master Mace because Mace was the closest at the time to teach that purple blade balance. Vader killed Douku for similar reasons. Anakin watched.

Watching his fight with Ahsoka frame by frame, at one point he swings completely to the left of her, would have missed her even if she HADN'T moved, and he just waits as she completely drops her guard and moves her shoulder slightly right. Then he stands there and watches - her guard is still down mind - as she does a slooooooooow spin kick ...and he allows it to connect. And don't even start with her just casually taking the saber out of his hands in the second part of the 'fight'. Painfully telegraphed two-handed downward strike, and then he just loses his saber? The low-effort girlboss nonsense is painfully obvious.

Dude i cant believe youre still asking this. What happens is is Anakin gets into conflict with the jedi just like in prequels but instead of killing everyone, he turns to quigon for help. Then Anakin kinda leaves the jedi order but not entirely then lives the rest of his life with padme and whatever. Not that hard

No where near as perfect as Grand Master Luke Skywalkers in the real/OG EU. Mastered all forms of lightsaber combat and could take a dozen+ Yuuzhan Vong and later half a dozen or more Sith from Kesh at the same time without help.

Obi wan was a form 3 - soresu master. As far as I know he was never tied to form 4. I'm sure he was proficient in many forms but he was really recognized as being a master of form 3. Arguable the best, in fact. It's why he was chosen to confront Grievous.

I can't remember the name of the movie,but Bruce Lee was in it. There was a martial monk that was asking him questions to see if he was ready to leave. Bruce's answer was like," When he expands, I contract. When he contracts, I expand. When i need to strike...IT strikes all by Itself." Vader is the striker. Anakin expands and contracts. How do you think the Force would react to something like the Forces of Chaos from the Warhammer 40k galaxy? The Warp of that realm is quite a twisted defiled and abomniable place even for the tastes of the Dark Side at it's own worse. Hell it's so unpredictablely viotile I don't even even think Nakhash the Father of Shadows from that one tale I heard of would want anything to do with that place. The good thing that keeps the Chaos gods in check is just how many restrictions the Warp has and if something were to ever happen to cause a Chaos god to perish the denizens and ruling powers would instantly change like that never and will never exist to due to it being so easily affected by the conditions of the material world it parallels with. Luckily for the Force it doesn't suffer those limitations so much. However the Chaos gods so dang chaotic and everything they do is a abomninaition by their very foundation I think even the Dark Side would find it abhorrent and disgusting.
