Great video once more. I bought my one and only Chanel Caviar Jumbo Gold hardware bag from Vestiaire Collective at a great price too as it had no auth. card. I had it authenticated with tPF and another authenticator as well before VC authenticated it too. The problem was that it had the stamp/mark on the CC lock (because the bag was from 2008) but it was Made in Italy and usually these ones with the stamp (which were made from 24k gold plated) were Made in France. So I was scared but eventually the bag WAS authentic at least I believe since three people authenticated it. I love this bag and I do recommend VC as well as Vide Dressing (where I also sell my bags) they are very good sites in France especially for me living in Greece. Hi Amie grat vid so informative i never knew most of that. I have to say though while i have browsed some of these sites i just can't lend myself to putting my personal items etc into what was someone else's bag - i know it might make sense sometimes but i just wouldn't want to do it. Great video! I love buying preloved, and made several unboxing videos with preloved bags already! One thing to keep in mind is to ask the seller about the smell, since that cannot be captured in photos. I bought few bags that just smell soo strong, either musky or strong cheap perfume. It's so important to ask as many questions as you need before deciding to purchase. :)

Black bags hold their value well, not necessarily special colors. I recently bought a blue WOC pre loved for $1500, while the black caviar was basically the same price pre loved as it was new.

Hi Amie, thanks for all the great videos you've posted! Do all Chanel bags have the interior quilted 'CC'? I'm eyeing a single flap mini from 1991-1994. I’ve heard so many mixed things until I’m sure the bag I’m currently looking at is the on the pre-love market for $5600 it’s a lambskin jumbo in the so black color. From what I hear, they'll be getting a new shipment of boy bags from mid to late September but as you probably know, there's no guarantee that you'll be able to find the one you want at the specific time that you're here! I think it depends on how fussy you are about which bag you want. For me, I didn't want to compromise as I knew the exact bag I wanted. If you don't mind as much then I would say wait and see. Are you flying from Heathrow? If so, then that's an opportunity to save even more money!

Hi! Just a quick one I've heard a lot of negativity re: newer chanel flaps. People are saying since 2011 (I think or 2012) the quality is no where near those before that time. I've read and hear complaints about the leather, loose threads etc. what's your opinion having access to both ? Great video :)

+missnars87 Hi! I bought my jumbo in 2011 and I think the quality is fantastic. I've had a couple of issues with my GST but that's a different grade of bag. Although I think the lambskin used to be a bit more durable, I've personally never had any concerns with Chanel flap quality. I know it's a popular topic to discuss but I have a lot of faith in Chanel quality; not least because of their customer service. When my GST went in for repair for a second time (human error this time), I got a personal call from the Head of Repairs for the UK. It's very comforting to know that they stand by the quality of their bags! My best advice is to always inspect the bag in store before you buy but in general, I wouldn't worry :)

+Bee Rachael It depends on the service. Most online services, you just send pictures (either pre or post sale) but some services in the US allow you to send in the bag for verification. This is particularly useful for Chanel models with newer series serial numbers - as they tend to be the most difficult to authenticate. HTH!

I hope someone can speak to this as I am just even beginning to vaguely contemplate a higher end bag, or even jewelry (just a brooch or necklace) from Chanel, and I have heard this as well. Do you have to have proof of purchase? If so, is it ok for that proof of purchase to be someone else's receipt? If you don't have any proof of purchase (besides buying it from Ebay or a 3rd party like Posmark, etc), is it advisable not to get the bag? I also want to know about this for jewelry as well as I've heard that pearls, crystals, etc, fall out easily (why? It may be costume, but it still should be quality costume) and often have to go to repair multiple times. Thanks, sorry this is SO long if you see it.
