@@mikenewbry Most rods will do the trick, if you set your drag appropriately. I wouldn’t go less than 8lb line though.

Taking my friend over to Utah lake tomorrow and we trying to catch some catfish. Once there was a fisherman used some kins of shrimp and shared some with me. I have never caught fish that fast and frequent. Do you have any good spot around the provo park? I used to catch a lot of white bass there but haven’t caught much catfish except that one time with that special shrimp.

Except you can't eat those fish. You can go out to The Rock jetty area on the westside by Saratoga Springs and just sit there at night. Use cooked sausage links. You can just catch fish left and right all night long. I got there one time and the people leaving had a whole truck bed full of catfish and they gave me some sausage links and I caught a ton of catfish. You can't eat them though
