Love Pep, but if he plans on playing that same suicidally high backline with wingbacks who can’t execute like wingbacks, we’re not winning any PL. Remember, last season we ranked - 20th in the PL for defense against the counter - conceded 133%+ more goals from the counter attacks than we did the season before - Had conceded the same or more goals and had fewer cleans sheets with 6 PL games to go than we had in each of the 3 previous seasons in their entirety. I think we won last season in spite of Pep and not because of Pep like the previous seasons. Regardless of who we played, we conceded a ton of counter attacking chances and many tureens into goals. From MU to Sheffield to Copenhagen to RBL to Palace to Chelsea to Tot to LFC to Villa to Luton to Burnley to Real Madrid we conceded goals on the counter and did so regardless of who was playing in the defense. This tells me my eyes aren’t lying and Peps tactics with his backline and a back 2 is suicidal. I’m Praying he moves on from this as if he doesn’t, I don’t see how we win any trophies next season

@@libby4608 Ahh. I love comments like yours as it illustrates your complete inability to think critically. Scarier still, is that your comment suggests that you think Pep is infallible which he clearly is not, as Pep makes lots of mistakes like all of us do. Here’s a novel idea, why don’t present a counter argument about why you think I’m wrong which addresses precisely what I said? Why don’t you explain to me how playing wingbacks makes sense even though our defense was ranked last against the counter or that I’m somehow wrong that we conceded 133% more goals on the counter than we did the previous season. Please tell how our competition who was able to counter us down the flanks at ease was really nothing more than a figment of my imagination. Or how we had fewer clean sheets last season compared to the previous 3 seasons. And do tell me how it wasn’t Peps fault that our entire defense, regardless of who was playing, just turned terrible for the entirety of the season compared to the season before when they were the best in the league. The only difference I could see was Peps tactical changes, yet I’m sure you're correct, it wasn’t that, it must have been all the players just being consistently poor instead. I can’t wait to read your response, yet something tells me that due to the intellectually barren wasteland that is your mind, you won’t. Instead you’ll probably write back something pithy which just further proves you’ve either been brainwashed or are just low IQ
