May shivam soul rest in peace ..since he was deck office (3rd officer) he doesn't have any job in BOW thruster room . If it would be sucide easy way to fall in sea or hanging in the room... Apart from this there is a limit switch on the bow thruster room booby hatch , which have a indication light on the bridge ..so the duty officer on bridge should have idea that some has open the hatch cover . There is a flaw in the stroy which they had made ..... it takes a lot of courage to fight against the big company like anglo eastern who neglect these kind of big issue which we all junior officers face onboard ship . Get the crew list of the time and name everyone in FIR in your local police station. Saying that all of them are accomplices. Prevent any chance of anticipatory bail if not already taken by them. File case in Supreme court since the matter is international aswell. Also add DG shipping and Govt of India also to the party to the case. Else they won't start moving.

Mentally torture bahut jyada hai ship me You know there is CCTV camera in each compartment of ship.(lekin kya pata use bhi Mita diya gaya hoga) Ap crew members (except officers) k list nikale aur jab wo apne ghar(chhutti) aye,unke sath bat kariye wo bahut important jankari denge My personal experience,ship me kuch bhi ho sabko pata chal jata hai Bow thruster room ekdum front me foxle( ship's head) k niche rahta Jo ki living mess se minimum 100 meter (kisi bhi ship me) ki doori par rahta hai, waha Koi kitna bhi chilla le ,uski awaj living mess tak nahi pahuch payegi, plus waha machinery bhi chalti hai jiski awaj bahut jyada hoti hai Aur bow thruster room(jaha par Shivam bhai ko hanging bataya gaya) waha jane k liye duty officer se permission Lena padta hai pahle Before my final exit from Indian navy, around 1 month ago,a sailor found hanging in a compartment of ship berthed behind my ship. The reason for this hanging was shown personal reasons to the family,but it wasn't a suicide , actually a --------. I hate ship's working environment, harassment by seniors and officers "Shivam bhai was murdered,not committed suicide ." I have personal experience of ship of around 6 months after all training in my service. There is a compartment named DCHQ(damage control head quarter) in every ship in this world in which one/two persons always are on duty . In that compartment ship's each compartment and outside areas of ships are continuously monitored 24×7 through CCTV cameras . Camera is also in bow thruster room where Shivam bhai found hanging, if suppose (actually not) Shivam bhai hanged himself, minimum it will take around 10 minutes to do so,what was the person doing on duty in DCHQ room or was he sleeping at that time? And if Shivam bhai was murdered (anywhere) and then taken to bow thruster room,it can be openly seen through camera in DCHQ room that who is with Shivam bhai at that time during body hanging. DCHQ duty is always performed by a crew ( non- Officer). You must find the persons on duty in DCHQ when Shivam bhai's hanging was first reported.

It brings tears to my eyes hearing they lost his belongings. Whatever is left is still his memories .. and only the one who loses understands..all these companies are only after making money and don’t have any care for human life or any empathy for the family that has suffered such a great loss. When young boys join the ships the companies only show them the good side but this is the ugly side that only the family faces when they r gone. After my brother died not even one person from the company came to our house. The whole crew was asked by the company to not speak to us and threatened for their job.. that’s how these companies operate. Get an international marine lawyer one probably from UK that would put more pressure on the company as the Indian Shipping ministry , mui or any organization is only going to be in bed with Anglo..get them to pay for every little bit of pain caused and that’s the only thing they will care for. Get the international media, ILO, ITF and Shipping MLC .

It is a clear cut murder. What I think that has happened is: There was an argument between Shivam and a higher rank officer which heated up on being violent one. As the situation got out of control, Shivam lost his life. But the company's image cannot be tarnished, the company had interests in saving that higher rank officer. Perhaps, things turned out to be uglier later on when the family wasn't cooperated by the company nor protocol was followed. RIP for Mr.Malik. Stay Strong Family.

Sorry for your loss, seems mistakes were made by the company in collecting evidence and they didn't satisfy your requirements as u asked them to do, but if it was murder then i don't think company will have any interest in hiding it, instead it will harm company only if it is found , they won't save any culprit onboard . Yes unless it is done my someone onboard and they have hidden the facts which in any case will come out coz not every crew member is going to lie if interviewed. I feel company should have been more responsible in handling such a case and should have been cooperative with the family in such difficult time.

A company to safeguard its own interest will try it's best to protect itself from any claims arising. The probability of him being murdered can only be speculated unless the Master's statement has been shown to you. But weather the Master has been actually involved or was not involved can also be speculated unless each and every crew member is questioned and statements recorded and provided to you. Since there is reputation and money involved here the company will try it's best to protect its intrest. Thereby withholding statements and evidences unless pressurized but will eventually sucumb to pressures and will probably scapegoat either the Master or a crew/s member someday
