Minor Error at 4:15, there is actually a third weapon with innate arcane scaling that can be buffed, though again, it isn't as good as the ripple crescent halberd. It is significantly more amusing though, its Varre's Bouquet.

@@mattBLACKpunk it is very much a feature a poor feature at that, in ds3 at least it didn't stagger etc, but here its pretty bad, a single unlucky madness or sleep buildup means you're dead with no real counterplay, hence why so many run dual sleep weapons or dual vykes etc.

The Ripple Halberd only gets impactful with the sleep grease. With blood grease the bleed buildup won't get as high as an occult Vulgar Militia Saw, the 2 hit poison is nice but but using the poisonous mist ash on any occult weapon (like that occult Militia Saw) will also give you the proc in 3 hits.

Occult vipers fangs do 149 deadly poison build up and I'm sure I've procced it in 2 hits before. That being said I guess that's technically 4 hits, plus it will obviously depend on your opponents immunity.

Varré's bouquet is often forgotten as a buffable arcane weapon. Mind you, the damage output is ass but it's the only weapon capable of inflicting both high bleed and high sleep at the same time. And it probably yields the highest possible bleed build-up of any weapon in the game when buffed with blood grease.

Bonus: Dragon Incantations also scale with Arcane, if you build for Faith and Arcane you can get what I call the Blood Dragon, which destroys everything even in NG+ 7.

wrong, dragon incantations scale with the seal equipped, the only way to scale with arc is using the dragon communion seal, if you don't use it the spells will not scale with arc

My favourite build with the Ripple Crescent Halberd is an Int/Arcane build. Albinauric Staff off hand. Gavel of Haima. Sleep Greases. As they fall asleep I bonk them with the Gavel, it's so cool.

The coil snake shield's ashe of war is also pretty good because it will usually poison the enemy in 1 hit, and pair it with a bleed Shamshir or Estoc or something and it's kinda painful, especially if there's multiple of them lol

@OnlyWaifu Dragon communiun seal has arcane scaling that helps with madness buildup of madness incants, incase if that hasn't been mentioned yet It also boosts bleed build up of bleed incants except blood flame blade which has fixed bleed build up. There aren't viable poison incants so I left that out of the equation. Similarly arcane scaling of albunaric staff helps in better tracking of bubble socerory iirc. It should also help with bleed buildup of thorn socerory

Arcane is the best stat if used right, since you can scale rivers of blood (and the other bloody weapons) and the dragon comunion seal both off of arcane at the same time

Heh, yeah when I made my Griffith build/cosplay on my 3rd play through I went with a Dex/Arcane build with a dash of faith so I would have access to the best incantations but scaled with arcane via the dragon seal talisman... needless to say its arguably my most powerful PVP build to date.
