Hi, can you tell me, i bough new front shock absorbers, they are filled with gas and oil...after one month, and about 300 km only, i have one issue with one of shocks....when car is parked, more than 30 min for example, and i come and press car down with hands where is suspicious shock, first 1-2 moves up and down are so easy without resistance...and than you can feel when shock becomes hard like it should be allways, later when driving is good but every time after pause of min 30 min shock seems like loosing power and than first few bumps is soft and than becomes hard...what is problem?

Bought a pair of Bilstein B4s (for E39 BMW 528i) here in Australia and it's odd that the word Germany is printed on some labels but nowhere does it actually say where the shocks were made. Would be interesting to know.

@@GrymmEvil I've said read that Bilstein made shocks all over the joint. No doubt heaps in China too. J just want companies to be front up with where their shit is made. I know have an e39 525i m sport and went with factory replacements from Sachs. Actually says Made in Germany on them.

Hi Johnny - We have a manufacturing facility in Germany and in the United States. The product is of identical quality. We import some applications from Germany (a lot of the European car applications), while we produce a lot of parts for vehicles that are available domestically here in the United States.

@@MrTherandomvidsguy I have qualification in Metallurgy. Chinese steel known to be absolute rubbish, low quality, very high proportion of them contain Bainite. High proportion does not mean they are all bad, there are a very few, manufacturing good martensite carbon steel, but I had two of my B6 Bilsten heads broke off due to structural errors, both were manufactured from Chinese made steel material. The proof of the pudding: you eat it.
