Oh also is there a specific thing followers of Advaita Vedanta are called? Do I tell people my sect is smartism? Or can I only be one of thoes? Or do they come together

Question, I just joined Hinduism. And I want to join Advaita Vedanta. I learned about the smartism sect and I believe that Brahman is the supreme being and is the ultimate reality, I don’t believe that I am God himself but I believe me and God and everyone else are connected, not by physical body but by spirit, is that okay?
