And regarding the shut down in Brazil, here are the facts: "The bankruptcy filing has led to the closure of 42 out of 187 Starbucks stores in Brazil, a significant 22.8% of the total units. Some outlets have been dormant since October 31, coinciding with the bankruptcy filing. The pandemic's economic battering combined with SouthRock's escalating debt has forced these closures." South Rock is a Starbucks licensee in Brazil. This means that the closure is not a consequence of the war in Gaza but had internal reasons. As you can see, it is quite easy to spread false/disinformation on the internet. You should always be aware of this when you "inform" yourself on social media.

McDonald's demanded £60 from me once because I overstayed my welcome in their car park by about 20 minutes. I never gave in to their extortion racket and they eventually backed down. Their staff were also quite rude when I confronted them about it. In the end the only thing they accomplished was my boycott which continues to this day and loss of business for McDonald's.

Had a series of meetings there where we we're almost continually buying coffees. Overstayed by 20 mins after shelling out more than £100 in coffees and snacks and a few days later recieved a demand notice for £60. Never paid it. Had a few bailiffs come round on a couple of occassions and told them to stuff their notice. Never saw them again. Never been to Starbucks since.

We always used to take my youngest 2 two boys 13 and 5 to Macdonald's. The 5 year old would spontaneously ask for Macdonald's. Since this war started my 5 year old boy refuses to go near a Macdonald's restaurant. Children outside Palestine have been traumatised by what's happening in Palestine. As an person born and raised in the US Midwest, I believe that most people of my generation (I'm 79-years old), have always lived with the idea of "live and let live." I never understood what anti-semitism was all about until now. Also my local Costco had a donation booth fir Israel with pictures of the hostages in front of the store which is crazy since we are in the Midwest of the United States so I’m not sure what the pictures do to help and what donating will do for them since the sign said help us bring them home. It’s always a good idea to boycott certain things when it comes to saving money. It does not have to be about brands or a war, though I do understand that reasoning. In Egypt, we have completely abandoned brands such as Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Starbucks, and others, and we replaced them and revived Egyptian products that had been forgotten, such as Spiro Spats, Cilantro, and many other Egyptian products with the same quality. Boycott works and it feels good too. I, like many others have watched the genocide that is being carried out on the Palestinians, in horror and in tears. I felt grief for them and I have felt anger and frustration. Thanks to movements like BDS, despite the grief, I focused my time and energy on the things that I CAN do. Boycott is just one of the things I do. Not only have I saved money, boycott is saving my health and I feel good knowing that my money is going to companies/organisations that have good ethics. I am also supporting more smaller businesses, so it is a win-win.

I live in Dearborn Michigan a largely arab area. McDonald's and Starbucks will be out of business really soon. Like sometimes they even shut down early due to no business.
