Thanks for putting this together! I find you recently, as I was thinking of giving ClickUp one more shot as my all-in-one system. so your videos are EXTREMELY helpful! I can't thank you enough! I've got a question about embedding Dubsado as a view into ClickUp. I saw that this can be done as you embed a Google Sheet for example, but unfortunately for me, it's not working. Says " this website doesn't allow using s to embed content. " Have this happened to you maybe? Or do you have an idea of what I can do? Thank you in advance

Oh, thank you SO much! Yes, Dubsado used to be able to be embedded in ClickUp (I had it in mind for a while) but they've (Dubsado) recently made changes that do not allow their pages to be embedded anymore -- anywhere, including ClickUp. 😕

Love it - thanks Layla. All makes sense. I wonder if, in time, Clickup will incorporate a lot of the functionality of Dubsado narrowing the gap between the two. It feels like ClickUp is racing a pace to try and do this (alongside many other goals).

Hey Richard! You know, I have no doubt they'll have a "clients" feature set released soon. In the ClickUppers Facebook Group, I'm sure you saw the thread about Zeb's promise to expand this as a priority. ...my question will be whether it'll be a "able to be used with clients" feature set or a "100% designed for client services" release. Personal opinion here, but I see a lot of software products built based on their own use case -- living in a product development world -- that execution of client services features turn out somewhat tone-deaf. I doubt many team members will have hands-on experience running a client service business...or at least not as much experiences as they do with the project/product work. I'd guess the market research (or hiring) to fill this experience gap will need to be deep. I'll be curious to see it take shape!

How do you get the info from a Dubsado lead capture form to go into Click Up client folder? We were previously hand-typing all client info back when I used a different CRM. I know there’s a way to automate this. Do I have to “pre-write” a template first? If you have a video on this, I’m not sure which one it is.

Hey Tiffany! I don't have a video specifically on this yet, so here's a "long story short" version: (Before you start, create a template in ClickUp for your project. For example, this might be a Task called "New Design Project"). 1 - Start your project (and collect all that info) in Dubsado with Forms 2 - Have Zapier create a new ClickUp task using your template ("New Design Project") for each new Project in Dubsado. You can have it pull in just about any data that was typed into Dubsado. 3 - Manage the rest of your project in ClickUp! :)

Why do people keep saying it revolves around tasks. Clickup has folders or spaces (client) and there are tasks associated with with those folders or spaces (which are clients) so how is that not like client centered with tasks? By the way you are awesome. You do a great job and are very gifted as in the art of presenting.

While I love ClickUp my biggest hesitation is has always been that there is no outside communication. Hope workflows becomes a thing in ClickUp then it will be game-changer.

Hey Mario! You're absolutely correct. I was just chatting about this with some people in the Facebook group, actually! For what it's worth, there are some clear indications that ClickUp has external communication on the near-term roadmap. I'll provide a fresh video as soon as those features are released. For now, using both feels like a no-brainer...that might not be the case come 2021. :)

What are your thoughts with Dubsado vs 17 hats?

Hey Richard! I think both have their strengths and weaknesses. I found Dubsado more powerful for 1-on-1 service providers or for those who would prefer to use custom HTML/CSS to design forms and proposals. The interface and innovation is weak. 17Hats seems to be more popular in event-based professions and has a more robust set of features. Their interface is slightly better and I can't speak to their pace of innovation as I haven't used 17Hats in the past year to see what they're up to! :)
