2:08:22 It *imperfectly* translates to and from ESO in terms of combat and WvW. Many (but not all) of the same systems exist. One big difference however is that GW2 uses a cooldown system and ESO uses a 3 energy system. But other than the combat & WvW, everything else about them seems very different.

3 Energy' or Casts sounds like a nightmare in a WvW analogue. But I suppose they have to balance it somehow lol

As I understand it, rank decay only effects your placement in the seasons top 250 and is your "effective ranking". The ranking that determines match making is your "Skill Ranking".

Entirely possible. But I've won every game since this stream so? I guess it's just a +1/-1 situation. I still think there's hidden, secret mmr, because I've won both 5/10 & 9/10 placements before and always seem to get gold 2. But who knows 😆

You asked how everyone felt about their profession's underwater weapons, so I'll say this: I love Trident on Elementalist and Revenant. Spear on Revenant feels *okay* to me. I really like Harpoon Gun on Engineer, *but* it's a power weapon and I prefer not to play power on Engineer, which is a shame because there is no condi weapon for aquatic engineer, and the number of kits for condi builds is lower underwater than it is on land, so a condi engie's best bet is to switch to a power build when they go underwater. I haven't done much Mesmer stuff underwater but so far both their trident and spear feel underwhelming to me for any of the builds I've been playing.

Ty for the genuinely solid feedback! That makes sense, & after talking with some people I honestly hope they just port over everyone's Existing Weapons and throw Engi a bone, and add another weapon both to Water and Land. Partially b/c they got screwed so hard in SotO. Even the "Warrior Player" looks at what they got and goes. "Wow..." lol
