Some of those ships on the Great Lakes are able to unload themselves via a boom and Conveyor system they call them self unloaders. Ships like the Algoma Harvester are what they call a straight decker aka no self unloading system. You don't normally see the Self unloaders take on grain very often though unless they are called for it the task is mostly left up to the straight deckers.

Thanks for taking me along. Finished my beans Sunday night and didn't get them off the wagons till yesterday afternoon cause the elevator was full of beans. Glad to be done with the weather we are having today. On to the corn now.

Hauled many loads of grain to Chilliback B C. One company had a pit where you drove in and cranked up all 4 hoppers wide open, by the time the 4th was open the first was empty and so on. Was lucky and hardly ever had to wait, my favourite place to unload. Cheers my friend enjoying the ride along as always.

What's up Shane another great video my friend, it is amazing seeing your hard work go from field to the boat and then to our plates. Many pieces to the puzzle that many people don't appreciate, thanks to you and your family for providing food. Stay safe out there my friend and keep the videos coming and always travel safely catch you on the next one.

@@StevensLTD Thanks for the content. Just something to watch in between ship battles. I've watched this one 3 times now. I have a lot of time and now they don't even let me go to the bathroom anymore!

Great video! What happens when it’s raining / snowing when probing the grain? Water degrades the grain and the value of it. Do they put everything on hold? Cheers!
@StevensLTD Жыл бұрын
They stop loading the boat and close the doors. But I just roll my tarp and wait till the 2 minutes of probing is done and roll the tarps closed

Truck sounds really good got a question I'm going to go back to truck driving but for right now I'm going to drive for a company and then eventually I'm going to get myself my own truck but I've always found it pretty awesome to go to farms and get sore beans and corn and stuff like that now in order to get loads like that do I just use like load apps or how do you get your loads
