Lovely to see everyone. The weather in the UK has been awful too. We can't escape it! With regard to Risey, we must never give up hope. He and Queen Uniek are the reason that I first became aware of this channel and found all the lovely people (herd) worldwide. There is a friesian horse living in Britain, a mare, who has had wobblers for some years. She is very well cared for and lives amongst other friesians. She can also be carefully ridden, which helps with exercising her muscles etc. We will always remember Myrthe from Stal G who had an extreme case of wobblers and had to be put to sleep, back in 2021. Bless her. So, we must hope and pray that Risey can learn to live with wobblers and have a good life with Yvonne. Fingers crossed eh folks? ❤

The Friesian in England with Wobblers is at the KZbin channel “Black Horses Ltd-The Friesian Experience”. Tracey Alexander takes in older and injured Friesians and takes care of them on her farm in NW England, Lake District. She has treated her horse (Anja) with Wobblers and maybe you can reach out to her for advice on what treatments she has done. Her horse does carriage and Tracey rides her. She seems to be a very nice person and she might be able to give you some advice. Checking out her and her channel may be helpful for Risey.

To look at Rising Star grazing in the pasture, you'd never guess that he had Wobblers. His legs were so straight as he stood there, and he didn't seem to favor any particular limb as he slowly walked to more grass to eat. Yvonne must have an eagle's eye when it comes to spotting health problems in horses. Goedzo, Yvonne! Your early attention to this terrible condition has improved Risey's chances of recovery.

The three younger colts are very sweet and handsome. There are several caretakers of the Three Amigo's/ Three Musketeers. They didn't notice Risey's medical issues either. If the cause of his problem was trauma related, I think all of his caretakers would have noticed it. His disease is a progressive illness. Signs and symptoms develop over time. It is very sad, but it is no one's fault. All of the animals at Stal G and Stal H are well cared for and loved. Any subscriber to your channel knows this. Continued prayers and positive loving thoughts for you and Rising Star. 💖

On another channel I saw some horses with the wobble. One was caused by compressed discs at the base of the neck. With treatment she was still able to ride her and she pulls a carriage for the children of the village to bring in Santa all decked out in lights! She seemed to enjoy the prancing and shoeing off for the kids! I’m just hoping our Risey can find a good enriching life once this gets under control. No, he won’t probably be able to do dressage, but maybe he has another journey and pathway. Imagine all the possibilities.

Rising star looks stunning in this video. I confess that when I heard of Yvonne’s injuries, I did not ever think she would make this kind of recovery. It just did not seem possible, not with the seriousness of her situation. Rising star also has a serious condition and just maybe there is hope there. But I know Yvonne will have a tough decision to make. For those who say oh just keep him as a non riding horse, he can just hang out in the pasture, realize if he does not recover that is no life for a young horse. And nobody can afford to keep a horse as a pasture decoration considering the vet care and nutritional support he would need. This isn’t a puppy, this is a thousand pound animal who needs all four legs under him. Yvonne will decide based on what is best for him and what is best for her stable and I will support her in any way I can. So should we all.

It was good to visit Stal G. It looks like everyone seems to be doing well - I'm glad Tsjerk seems to be slowly getting over his fear of people (Frieda seems to have done her job a little too well 😂). And please don't worry about not noticing Risey's symptoms at that point in time. Again, this is just my inexperience talking, but I wouldn't have noticed a thing if I weren't looking for anything. The important thing is that you took action as soon as you perceived something was wrong. Please don't blame yourself.

I agree! When you see an animal every day, if the problem comes up slowly, if it's just a little thing it is so easy to overlook. And things like that aren't really apparent until it gets worse. Horses can live with Wobblers, depending on how bad it is I know a horse who is very happy, has wobblers. he is exercised by being walked, lunged, and occasional riding in a controlled arena. He is like 12 now and was diagnosed at about 3 So , cheer up. it can be managed if it doesn't get too bad. keep the gorgeous Risey exercising and using those muscles to keep him in excellent shape for better longevity and less likliehood of getting worse

This was lovely to watch. Weather is abnormal all over the globe due to climate change and global warming. Nice to see Risey and the others. It's amazing how well built Rising Star is for his age when you realize most 2 year old KWPN are very lanky looking in comparison, a very gorgeous horse. He has a more baroque body type as compared to his sire, he looks more like his mare in terms of size.

@@bernadettjuhasz1288 He's currently at Stal H! There was a picture of him recently, and the look on his face doesn't show him to be in any pain. I said recovery is possible because there are treatments for Wobbler's. Thing is, it's costly, and it's uncertain how well he could recover from it with treatment based on severity, but it is certainly possible. Don't know if Yvonne's done anything yet, I think things are still in the evaluation stage.

I believe Yvonne told us she had moved Risey into the stall beside Queen Uniek. I like to think of Risey's mother being able to give him some comfort with a nuzzle or rub as needed with any discomfort he may have especially with the vets visiting and his evaluations. His mom's and Yvonne's love will help him through this bad illness. Prayers and love from us all hopefully helps as well. I know we will be available, too, financially and otherwise, to help Yvonne once she determines what her course of action will be with Risey.

You might look into PRP or prolotherapy for Rising Star’s neck ligaments like you had done in Uniek’s foot tendons. I’ve had all sorts of PRP and even stem cell prolotherapy in my neck ligaments, and it’s stopped so many of the neurological issues I was having like losing consciousness and control of my legs and feet. I have 13 herniated discs in my cervical and thoracic spine, and I’d be dead without these treatments. They’re not so fun to recover from, but it’s far easier than having metal rods and screws. Just a thought. He may have torn/weak ligaments that are effecting the space for his spinal cord like I do.

You got the rain we should have gotten last summer here on the west coast of Canada. Crazy weather. Risey looked fine here. The boys looked like they were happily munching away. It was good seeing the foals from 2022. 💕💕

It is so interesting to see how hard it rains there. We have some downpours, but not like that usually. It was so nice to see the young horses again. They are not filled out yet as are Risey and his friends. I guess it is the age difference.

Even the most stubborn become Yvonne puppies. Tsjerk is just the latest to fall at this taping. All the herd watched Risey with you Yvonne and no one picked up on the wobblers. You are always extremely conscious and dedicated to the health and wellbeing of your horses. Mud was fun when I was a kid, not so much in my 60’s.

Climate change has been brutal to many areas in the world. On a different note, if Risie is not in pain and getting around ok, I dont see why he would have to be put down. He can be a companion horse for Yvonne. Every horse has a reason to be in a persons life for certain lessons; hence, why horses have been promoted to teachers from beast of burden. I am excited to see where Yvonne and Risie's journey will take them. Wobblers does not have to stay a handicap.

The 3 colts look great here...I cannot see any sign of Risy limping, either.... We KNOW you always check them for bumps, cuts and bruises....SO, this was so unfortunate..... Not like he could tell you!

Another beautiful video, but that rain! Oh my, I am used to that where I live. But my property isn't flat. Lucky the horses don't mind it! It is so fun to see them playing with the water and mud. Maybe they would enjoy helping Rein build some poop castles? So good to see Risey, always. Thank-you

The Frisian language is closely related to English. Sometimes I hear you say a word that in English is either archaic, or is Old English (Anglo-Saxon). Today you said 'besom'. This is an archaic word for broom in English. I have seen a video of a man who speaks fluent Anglo-Saxon, and he spoke with a Frisian farmer...and to a pretty good extent they could communicate! :) I love how the horses just come up to you. :) They trust you, which is beautiful! Even Tsjerk quickly decided he wanted your attention. The two young stallions touching noses like best friends was very sweet. 🥰 Reina is stunning! and Sanne too. I miss Sjirkje and Pjirkje. My impression of Risey in this video is that he looks well muscled and magnificent.

Is this condition of rising star like a carpal tunnel where the nerve is being pinched only down his spine? And is it all the way down his spine or in just a few areas or even one area? Maybe there is something that they can do like they do for carpal tunnel patients. I just can’t imagine what you’re going through after all the rising star has been through. I don’t suppose it’s worth asking the vet about but I just thought about it. God bless you we’re praying for you and that there will be some answers for rising star. He turned into such a beautiful, beautiful horse.

I love how the horses just walk up to you all calmly. They are like friends not like many horses you have to try to wrangle to get back in from pasture. Shows how much love and trust they have and how happy they are with you.
