Yes, my son's 2nd grade teacher insisted he needs meds. I 100% disagreed & knew he was bored in class. As a toddler, he lived outside & in the dirt. Anyhow, she would call randomly for me to pick him up early from school. Found out years later she was actually on drugs!! Now he's in the Navy at the top of his class.

Kids are raised so differently along gender lines in the U.S. - in my opinion, women often grow up very surveilled, while men tend to grow up very neglected. Neither one is healthy, but I think the latter explains a lot of the hurt and poor leadership among men today. I have hope that our generation/those to come will find more creative approaches to developing happier lives and relationships. (Including, but not limited to, astrology!) Thank you for sharing your story, it's so important that we do what we can to better understand each other!

Even though I'm a girl. I have struggled with mental health all my life and so have my kids. Struggled with everything you were talking about for myself and as a mother trying to help her kids. When I started studying astrology, I started letting all the medication and therapy go and it wasn't interfering with any of our mental health and as I continued studying astrology it seemed it was actually getting better because I understood my chart and my kids charts and was parenting better cause I understood my kids better... and one day I realized, wow!!! Astrology is NO JOKE!!! You literally can't make this shit up!!! It is my religion and has made me more spiritual and forever grateful for Astrology. I recommend that before ANYTHING else to help you out in life!!!

The Will to Change absolutely changed the way I viewed the world. I read this on vacation one time on the beach and was left in tears. As Cam said, society is set up against men and for men to view it that way as to set themselves up for failure. I didn't grow up in the U.S but Canada is similar in some ideas and I find it interesting how the whole gay thing tends to be a big factor filtering men out of Astrology. I myself am gay so I kind of just look at that and shrug because there tends to be an issue with labels here because even if Astrology was highly concentrated with just women and gay men, like so what? That is merely an observation and does not speak to the practice itself. If people can just strip that down and dip their toes in the water....what's the damage? Especially if we are trying to grow here....taking a chance at anything is worth a try, and even as a gay man, I know tons of my peers within the LGBTQ+ community would be offended by Cam's comments when in reality we cannot be coming into this conversation without accepting that we are all living different realities and experiences and that should be enough to accept another's....even if it isn't politically correct. I prefer listening out a conversation and seeing where I can grow from it rather than pushing an idea aside because part of it offends me. I think we can all use a little of that to be better leaders.

I mostly agree with you. However being a female, middle-aged music teaching hobby astrologer that has not eaten animal products for 9 years, there were a few absolute statements that you made that are in direct opposition to my personal experience. Consider taming down absolute language so you don't disenfranchise those that don't fit neatly into boxes. I have been chastised as an astrologer, probably because my peers are older. I have seen how much activity kids need, not just males, but females that likely have a lot of personal planets in male signs too. I do movement activities every class and give a lot of freedom to work out those energies and opportunities to do things other than sit still and listen. I changed my diet for health reasons (not a fan of seed oils, faux meats, processed crap) and it was gradual, but after years of being veggie I cut out dairy. Health experiments aside, I can not deny the spiritual awakening this brought about in my life. I've also been frustrated with therapy many times and recently lost my mom from side effects of being a lifelong mental patient and taking crazy amounts of pHARMa drugs. I think learning astrology can definitely help people understand themselves better, heal trauma and predict when energies are flavorful for certain activities. There is however a form of therapy that I experienced that blew the rest away. Trauma narrative therapy. It actually is designed to help the brain process and file away past traumas. Often the hemispheres of the brain are unable to function properly after trauma and the event is on the surface where the individual is more easily triggered. Love what you're doing and all the BS you're calling out, just please try not to say it in a way like you know everyone's experiences. Singed my 12th house Leo moon ruled by Cancer cusp.

I love how you put this! Cam is so engaging and an awesome astrologer. The forecasts each week are great. But I also cringe sometimes at the absolutism in his statements. It’s okay to have strong opinions, but it doesn’t create a space for openness and trust which is what sharing your birth chart requires. Cam is a great with mundane astrology. But the criticism he dishes out leaves me feeling mixed . What stuck with me from this video was the jab at peoples’ attempt to include non-binary and trans men when referring to birth. I am a birthing person who is also a doula and in the community of women that I socialize with, we have no problem saying birthing person. It doesn’t offend me like he claims it should. How does it minimize my experience as a woman to say that female anatomy doesn’t correlate to gender? In fact, the only way it would be offensive to a woman is if she identified herself solely by her ability to give birth. Anyway, reading through the comments, most people loved this video, and he’s right, there’s a different modality for a majority of men. Especially when it comes to processing trauma, almost like it’s not okay to be traumatized and seek help. So his point is very valid, men need to feel comfortable being into astrology too, and Cam does have alpha male energy, so the men that say shit like astrology is gay, might listen to him. But that’s the thing, how did it get like this? That this video even has to be made? This is not feminists fault or chemicals or school systems.It’s PATRIARCHY and capitalism which all of these things are a result of. The education system was modeled by Horace Mann to create stability for a new era of industrialization. It worked well for that purpose, but is outdated and needs reform.

Literally the day of the Taurus Mars, Rahu & Uranus conjunction - I was SOOOO anxious. Then I remembered I have an Aquarius moon and I was like oh yeah the ruler of my moon is super triggered right now lol. Women actually attempt suicide 1.2x more than men do, it's just that men's suicide attempts are much more successful in comparison because men have evolved to not fear death and pain as much. It would have been evolutionarily beneficial this way, as women needed to stay alive to take care of children and men on the other hand, evolved to be not so scared, in order to be able to take risks in battle and hunting.

Thank you for saying this. As a woman and lifelong Atheist, until discovering traditional Astrology, I have constantly struggled (since taking Astrology more seriously) with explaining how scientific, technical, and mathematic Astrology is. The majority of criticism comes from men, and I know that it will never be taken seriously unless more men see the science in it. Even though this video is directed towards men, I have indeed felt the same about therapy and antidepressants (that they're useless, at least for me) and that Astrology has in a way saved my life. (I intended to write a book about it). It has given me so much insight into my own shortcomings, bad habits, and provided solace in knowing that the Universe is not "out to get me" but is in fact a roll of the metaphorical dice, and anything can change in an instant. the first and most important step to healing trauma is physical therapy. taking your body back comes first, then develop habits that are supportive to health. then reflecting and analysis with words. often talk therapy is traumatic especially if you are not feeling safe in your body yet. this could prevent lots of other longer term trauma symptoms like substance abuse, self harm and forms of olCD including eating disorders due to fear of making wrong decisions. its really good that you are speaking on this perspective. healing yourself is what makes you a healer not being around sick people. healers show that it is possible and have confidence in others ability to heal themselves. they have many vocations, astrology and tattoos artistry are at the top of the list.

Truth! Thank you, Cam. I remember my circumcision and it was a real horror movie. My mother probably saved money by including my younger brother in the medical mutilation. I woke up in a science lab and saw my brother perfectly still with his tongue hanging out. Waking up to what I thought was my dead brother was just one scene of the horror show that dropped back into my consciousness in my twenties. Now I know that everything people say about repressed memories is true. I encourage you to think about kundalini yoga as a regular practice. I get what you mean about therapy. I work as a therapist with energy and sound healing. I’ll also help people understand their astrology and it improves peoples sense of who they are. Before I incorporated the energy, sound, and astrology therapy was definitely less effective. ✌🏼

I love that you're touching on this! It is so important. It seems that anything spiritual, metaphysical or anything that can help someone grow not just on a physical, human level but also on a soul level and really help bring clarity and understanding to ones life, is deemed as feminine and not really practiced by men. I believe that this is what true feminism (aka equality) is about, not bashing or hating men. Coming together and figuring out what both parties need to truly heal, grow and evolve together in the most peaceful and beneficial way(s). Men are conditioned in such negative ways from birth, with very little true support or recognition, no wonder there are so many issues going on within the male community. Pretty much every woman in my life, and that I have met, has been through traumatic and dangerous experiences with men - but its not a men problem - men aren't inherently bad. LOL, Bro I know you probably hate me (Pisces sun, Scorpio moon, and Asc), but I'll be damned if you weren't telling my story in this video. Even lost my pops at a young age (2), I had pills shoved down my throat from an ADHD Diagnosis. I was suicidal a large portion of my life, straight from the start. I tried hanging myself at 8 from a swing set. I hated the hand I was dealt and astrology changed that. During my Saturns return astrology saved my life. Understanding your challenges in life and the struggles you will go through gives you the strength and courage to really face your fears and transform. Before I just thought I was fucked up and I was just meant to suffer until I grew the balls to finally do myself in. Talking to people was useless for me as nobody really knew me or what was going on. "Know thy self" is what helps. I've been faithfully studying astrology now (along with other esoteric goodies) for the past 6 years and have really found a love for myself I never knew I had. This really struck a chord with me tonight. I'm a. 63 yr old widow and I recently had to take custody of my 11yr old grandson and his 3 yr old sister. He's a cancer born 6/27/2011 - I don't know his birth time off the top of my head. I was born 3/25/1959 at 2:51 pm. When my grandson was 6 his teacher said he was ADHD and couldn't return to the classroom until he was on medication. His pediatrician prescribed Adderall. One day he cried and said he didn't like the way it made him feel. So my daughter and I decided we would never make him take it again. And we never had that issue with a teacher again. Now he's 11 and he's a little overweight, very sensitive about it. His Momma, his dad and his paternal grandmother are all in jail. Talk about messed up families. The court is telling me to get the kids in therapy. Is he gonna be ok?

I can't wrap my mind around the idea that for men and women to be equal in society we have to pretend that we're the same. We even warp science to fit this ideology by ignoring the data that fails to support the hypothesis. I have taken so much abuse for refusing feminist ideology. In our society, if you believe that everyone should be supported to be their best self, based on whatever inborn traits they have, you are fighting against a huge juggernaut that wants everyone to be a good cog to fit the machine. Even if astrology was bullshit, it's not. Anything that helps us look within and self actualize works. As an Aspie who loves many ADHD folks, recognizing how difficult it is to deal with the effects (most of your experiences are common to people with ADHD) is important. Using the strengths of your neurotype will help you tremendously. These things are reflected in your chart, and can help you overcome the societal BS that's been put on you. Some people are bristling at your anger, and missing your message. You're seeking answers to how we can stop the kind of abuse that you have been subjected to. Attacking others for their attempts probably doesn't help further the dialogue, but being dogmatic is part of being young. Keep talking through these things until you are confident enough to be calm in your position. Joe Rogan would also encourage you to find physical outlets to help with your energy and drive. There are plenty of women who will be grateful for men to feel comfortable being male, in whatever healthy ways that expresses itself in each man. Then we can take on helping the toxic women together!

I'd argue that little girls also want to run around playing outside but are more likely to obey authority because of their need to be liked and the fact they want to be "safe". This continues into adulthood. The whole education system needs an overhaul. Completely agree with the fact that men generally do need help because so many of them aren't taught how to talk about their feelings and the whole addiction and abuse stuff 💯 like you say, they don't even realise. Side note: I think school is just pretty hard for all people with strong Mars also. I have Mars Leo on my mc in a day chart and even to this day I cannot stand sitting for more than a few minutes. In school I would be chastised for shuffling my feet or dancing while standing in line or something like that. It was just the physical movement and creativity that was frowned upon. I also have Uranus on my ascendant so that probably didn’t help.

As someone who loves astrology and also is also very passionate about my career as a therapist (clinical social worker, not psychologist) I alternated between loving and hating this video every other minute. That alone is impressive. Just be mindful that your specific experience does not mean your perspective of therapy is accurate. There are many types of therapies that work for different people. The amount you spend does not determine how well a therapeutic approach will work for you. The same way it’s annoying and insulting to you when someone who only knows about sun signs and astrology memes talks down about your field, therapists have to deal with the same shit.

It makes no sense to even put astrology against therapy when they can easily go hand in hand. If my clients are into astrology, it’s a great way to build rapport with them and connect some dots in their life. There’s nothing wrong with men using both tools to connect with themselves and the universe.

Additionally, I find it quite ironic that women are more successful in school because when school was created, it was created only for men- women were not allowed to join. However, as time went by and men and women 's worth began to equalise and subsequentally, women were allowed to go school, women out performed men. There is a theory that when you are oppressed, you tend to overcompensate, which is why I think women are so overly conscientious, partially. Is women's conscientiousness due to nature or nurture? Nurture is more likely considering we have tons of evidence to suggest immigrants are the most conscientious because they have been oppressed for example.

Unfortunately we are living in a society also where men do not want relationships(if they do they choose the wrong person) or self sabotage, they want to be chased, and do not want to do their part in a relationship. All taught by society and they say they love women but then when they have a woman interested they are treated poorly and have taught men how to be a toxic man not what masculinity is . Hey Cam, I agree with you 100%. Astrology saved my life. Those books u have are amazing. That being said ….. The best counter argument I have ever heard against astrology is how babies can be born in the same hospital at the same time and have totally different lives, so therefore a birth chart doesn’t determine the qualitative or quantitative aspects of someone’s destiny. I am a natural born philosopher so I am looking for a good response to this. Any thoughts ?

I would suspect it also has to do with our biology, dna, past life trauma encoded into our DNA. So from this standpoint alone they would lead different lives for sure.

Great video Cam. Although, as an astrologer myself I have to disagree with this tendency to say astrology is science just to make it sound like a more legitimate body of knowledge. A body of knowledge doesn't need to be science to not be bullshit. We need to get rid of this perception that scientificism has generated. To me, astrology is not a science at all. Not in the modern sense of the word, which is extremely dependent on the scientific method. Clinging to the old use of the word science is just confusing tbh. In my opinion, which is shared by many authors, astrology is more akin to an art. An interpretative art that has a complex theory and methodology behind it. Like music. Music also has mathematics and is very specific and exact in its theory. But that does not make it a science. In fact, I think it's counterproductive to present astrology as a science, because then you open the door for it to be called a pseudoscience. It gives a lot of leverage to skeptics trying to "debunk" it. In the same way that science cannot play in astrology's domains, astrology doesn't really play well when taken to scientific rigurosity. The thing is, astrology just cannot be digested by the scientific method, and I believe it never will. There are way way too many variables to keep in mind. Too many signifiers in the chart, each of which can produce many different manifestations each time because they are archetypical and symbolic in nature. Too many different signifiers that can often lead to similar results (for example, Moon in Gemini and Moon in 4th House, or Capricorn Asc and Saturn in House 1). They are just too many variables to put them through a controlled study that can demonstrate exactly how astrology manifests in practical life. It may sound unrelated but I feel the same way about Yoga, which is insistedly called "science" by a lot of people. It's a system, it has a methodology, and it could be retrospectively considered a proto-science. But the meaning of that word has changed. I believe astrology is not science and it doesn't need to be. It just has a different epistemology behind it. And it is still nonetheless an incredible and powerful tool that can explore aspects of reality that science cannot even grasp. Cheers, thanks for the video!

I mostly agree with you (I'm female). However 1: any introspection is helpful, Myers Briggs, Tarot or more mainstream psychology included. As you said in previous videos, we should focus on being united, not fighting... But you might be reacting strongly because of agression (kind of inflammation of everyone in these enlightened times 😅). 2: I wonder if, although so called female values are domineering in some areas, they still might be frowned about deep down on an unconscious level. Hence the reason why some people think that their masculinity might be challenged by any kind of spiritual or natural work/therapy. My dad's a boomer AND a doctor. I can't even tell him one of the best things I ever did for myself was talk to a naturopath (80 percent healed my gut in one session, and a lot of diet changes. No pill had ever helped this much in 20 years). He's expressed to me, as many others in the same generation, how alternative healing is girly bullshit. Worse thing is that people my age or younger still think the same, or even worse. No, recycling will not "make you Gay", as I've heard before... And what the hell would be wrong with that anyway?! Anyway, let's unite! We need and have BOTH females and masculine energy inside and outside of us! By the way, I'm writing this at a time when I got groped while jogging in an isolated city area (I dress in heavy arm and leg skin protection because I am prone to melanoma. And I'm 43... So no sexy innuendo on my part). I escaped because against a poor junkie/alcoholic I'm pretty fast. Still, not hating on guys but on society's failings towards them. In fact, I spent yesterday drawing tattoos and rubber sword fighting with my godson... And I'm happy he's feisty (as are some little girls I also know) I hope he'll have the best life 💜💜💜. Keep it up!

30 F and really enjoyed listening to this. I have had similar experiences to some that you shared and you actually gave me a new perspective on some of it. I had the same thing happen with a therapist as a teenager, also had my share of legal problems in my teen years, tickets, got arrested twice, Etc.

Another point, who is to say that a little girl's brain also wants to go and play instead of concentrate? I felt I had equal urge to go out and do things as all my brothers did, as opposed to sit pretty. Perhaps women are better at being polite because culturally we are told to do so and it is more unacceptable for a little girl to be impolite. But for boys, it's 'boys will be boys' ? For girls its 'thats not very ladylike, is it? Look at the other girls who are being polite.'

My husband isnt into astrology or any of the occult that im into. I read his chart CONSISTENTLY to try and understand…everything. It makes sense cross referencing my chart. But this video was great. Thank you for your wisdom, Cam.
