Just an anecdote, I now live in Spain and used to teach Spain's 2nd best Padel under 16. He lost his 1st position at a recent tournament at the time.

Since I met this sport I only regret that I did it so late.. Here in Spain, Costa Del Sol, you might find padel courts every 5-10km ^^ Amazing sport I love it.

Thanks for this. Padel is already a big deal in South Africa, but I think it will take a long time to grow in popularity in our country & the continent because of how expensive it is. It doesn’t look like an accessible sport if not in economically-privileged space. Would prefer it in the Olympics over cheerleading though. I’m curious to see how it grows.

@@BandileMtshali-n3t okay? Unless you’re located in an area that hasn’t seen an investment in Padel locations (like I am in Jo’burg), I can see your POV. However, Google is your friend here and could provide more info on locations. SABC covered it months back as a trending sport.

Football is my main sport, but I’ve always been interested in tennis of any kind, table or og one. Now padel is on the list too 😁

Great video! I think there are some other ways to make money with padel with out investing millions like are doing the celebrities. 1. You can organize tournaments together with a club or by renting all the courts of a club. 2. Organize padel camps, for example, I live in Copenhagen and the weather is very bad. People living here will love to go play in the beautiful weather of Spain. Get a coach, talk with a travel agencie and you can organize something awesome.

Here in Sweden, padel peaked in 2021. Now the courts are going bankrupt.

@@TheLongPlayUK People around me doesn’t talk about it anymore. But that may be simply because one or two colleagues of mine changed jobs. So that is just anecdotal evidence of my part. But there is written in the newspaper quite a lot of padel court bankruptcies.
