In this video, we shall explore how the mighty emperor Aurelian not only saved the Roman Empire from disintegration, but also wanted to introduce the cult of Sol Invictus as the official Roman state religion. However, with the triumph of Christianity after Constantine, this cult, like many others, were persecuted by the early Christians, and not much is left to tell the tale of this fascinating cult.
