I really appreciate how honest she was and her little hints of passive cries for help while simultaneously reiterating her intentions to remain strong.

Hi Lace, solo mom here. No partner and 100 percent doing it on my own. It’s hard. Really hard. As soon as it feels impossible, it changes again and gets better. Then hard again. Mine just turned three and it’s really gotten more fun. The first year is pretty brutal, even if you love your baby dearly. Eventually you’ll feel rested again and your brain will function better in time. It’s so so hard and almost disorienting and shocking when you suddenly have a baby. It’s unfathomable how exhausting it is at first. Hang in there! It truly gets easier.

@@karenayers6793 why am only I lucky? My daughter had colic and I have been breastfeeding for two years while in school with a baby completely myself. Having a baby is a blessing with or without someone to help. Attitude changes everything. I’m not lucky now that I have to wrestle her to put her in the car am I 😂😂😂 just different perspectives but I think toddler years are worse than newborn

@@jjthejet8447 Eve was the first to have a baby, not you. You're trying to be slick with your downlow shade. I don't believe in shaming new mothers. It's not a contest. Go say. . .you're WINNING. . .to your friends and family; not on the Internet.

I love this! My kids are now 4 and 6 but many of the things Lace is saying I can relate to and remember from being a new mom. Pregnant/new moms should watch this. The feeling that everyone experiences similar struggles and victories as a mom is so helpful to not feeling alone. Love Lace and her authenticity! ❤

My babies are now 32 and 29 and I still remember those early days so well. Even though I was married, my husband worked full-time and I felt isolated, alone and unhappy. I am not a baby/toddler person - it was HARD. Starting at about age 4 when they become actual people who are verbal, things changed. And I ADORE their young adult selves - they are such interesting and good and smart people. For me, once I got through those first few years it got easier (teen years aren't a total picnic but I'd MUCH rather have teens than 2 year olds!!).

Happy to hear from Lace and her voice an experience alot of women go through in marriage 😢. Pregnancy is hard in itself, but to be cold shouldered and isolated while being codependent. So many stories of people flipping a switch after pregnancy and during, that its like a partner getting ill where only in those serious moments do you actually SEE a person for who they are, what they value and how they see you 😢 i feel for Lace but i am proud of her for finding out sooner than later. That she can actually feel that unconditional love and give it to her son. I also love her nails 💅🏿 they always give Lace with the pink. Great interview Dave! cant wait for next week!! 🤱 🍼❤

Congrats Lace! Motherhood can be extremely isolating at first and people don’t always talk about it. I can’t imagine doing it alone. I have so much respect for single parents. Please know you aren’t alone. And congrats Dave and wife!

She is so honest and real. You can tell he’s a happy and loved baby. I was a single mom myself, two kids, my son has autism level 3 and I can tell you as a mother dealing with that alone was so hard. I feel for her but she’s going to have such a strong connection to her child. We love Lace ❤

Dave my first was colic with a whole list of stuff including dairy and soy intolerance, torticollis, reflux, etc. it was ROUGH very hard. My husband and I learnt a lot. Our 2nd was opposite but we were willing to have another knowing we got through what we did. 20% are colic so not a high percentage, just know if your babe is you guys will get through it ! ❤

4 kids later, I have always found the 1.5 to 4 year stretch to be the most difficult. That's the tune period they can make you literally scream and throw things 😑. It's also way easy to get things done with a newborn... wait until they can crawl. Just saying.
