We have never done a Back to back cruise. I think I would really like that. We usually do 7 to 14 days cruises though. I would need a month off work! lol

I'm doing 3 back to backs in January. The first week my husband's mom is coming. The second my mom is coming. The last week we will be alone.

On my last cruise, we only had to Muster on the first leg. Apparently you only have to muster, on the same cruise, every 4 weeks. (or something like that)

Did you do a Carnival cruise? We did a back to back recently with them and they said we didn’t have to do the muster but they did have scan our card I guess saying we were good.

@@tpstravels I usually cruise Princess, but on back to backs, you don't have to do the drill except on the first leg, unless they have changed the rules.

Oh yes! I forgot about that. You can get off one ship and jump on another that day at that same cruise port and that is a back-to-back cruise. Or you could do a repositioning cruise. You can jump on at one cruise port and take the ship to another cruise port and then get on another cruise from the new cruise port. Any of these options are also considered back-to-back, but you go through the same process of customs, carrying your luggage to the terminal just as you would on your first sailing. It's essentially two sailings but you are just going one right after the other. I've done this several time. Thanks for mentioning that.

Yea I looked it up and most cruises come out of Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. The cheapest I could find was $1900 per person out of Sydney in 2026 on Norwegian.
