Comparing this interpretation of Revivedbur and his current canonical self is so funny. You got this interpretation which has him being badass manipulative bitch who doesn't care about anyone and is just simply a snarky asshole and then, you have current arc revivedbur, who is actually on his redemption arc and it's very clear he's trying really hard to be better but somehow he comically still hurts people even when he's not trying to 💀. Like, the "Into Pogtopia" stream was a prime example of that. His literal existence/presence was already a big issue for Fundy in it and was also one of the main reasons for Fundy jumping. Like, imagine being seen as this badass uncaring manipulator but also simultaneously be an absolutely just sad to watch loser in canon😭😭.

Like, don't get me wrong c!Wilbur definitely has moments that correlate with Fanonbur, like the Pit or when he was freshly revived and was kind of just a straight up asshole for a bit. However, the main issue is some ppl tend to only see those parts and ignore any other complexities or further developments in his character. Like, when I was watching his apology streams, I still see people going, "He's gaslighting you!" or "Don't trust Wilbur!" when that man could literally be sounding like he's about to bawl his eyes out. 😭😭😭 Another part of me kind of likes the distrust tho, because it really emphasises c!Wilbur's struggle with redemption and change in general which I find to be so real and weirdly poetic.

So its kinda personal when people make him out to be this big, scary monster for not displaying affection in a "normal" way, or his mood swings, or his lack of emotional awareness at times.
