Chris, I'm so sorry you had to go through so much at a early age. My son also has colitis, and as his mother I see what he goes through and it breaks my heart. So listening to your story my heart breaks for you as well. Your a very kind young man thinking of ways to help others. Thank you for all your research.

Thanks so much Sue, you sound like a great mum looking out for your son and supporting him! It's tough living with these conditions but life still feels rewarding in certain situations. I just hope I can bring helpful info to the community moving into the future, it would mean everything!

Sorry to hear you have had such a tough journey.im wondering if vaccines can set off “episodes” or long term inflammatory conditions.I noticed im struggling everyday after having my Aztrazenica jabs.
@ChrisGascoigne13 жыл бұрын
I absolutely believe they contribute to something Ann-Marie, in my view it's more likely areas of the brain they effect - areas of the brain that properly manage the inflammatory response

Man you have been through a lot or hardships! Hopefullly you can find something that resolve it. My heart breaks for you, its so sad that this disease is just trying to break us from within. Have you considered trying the fasting mimick diet? Valter Longo apparantly managed to get rid of MS symptoms in mice with it, im considering trying it out.
@ChrisGascoigne13 жыл бұрын
Never heard of it in all honesty Henning! My current experiments are largely to do with something called functional neurology, getting the brain and nervous system in better shape to facilitate better digestion and a more appropriate immune response, it seems to be doing positive things for me so far, but it's a long term commitment. Let me know if you embark down the route of this diet and what it ends up doing for you mate
@Dieblauesau3 жыл бұрын
@@ChrisGascoigne1 functional neurology. Never heard about it. Going to read about it. Glad that it is having a positive effect on you! Yeah I'll keep you updated about it if I try it. Longo is an interesting guy. He is in the longevity field, and wants to fix chronic diseases without medicine. Cheers mate

Wow what a story.You are very young and been through all this.I would say vaccines screw you.Ifeel you because I had two operations one major,infection after operation and two blockages in last 6 months.Now I have a stricture at the end of small intestine . Researching a lot like you, I am doing much better but you never know if and when the next blockage will happen.You are correct more operations cause more adhesions and problems that's why I'm trying to avoid at all cost.I will definitely watch and support you going forward.We are on the same boat and hopefully we will find a lifestyle solution that will keep us out of hospitals 👃peace
@ChrisGascoigne13 жыл бұрын
Awesome, thanks so much for sharing mosconi and although I feel for you, I'm glad that we're in a similar boat, which means hopefully the solution should be fairly similar as well. I must admit, I'm very sceptical that blockages are even a thing, I believe that what we're experiencing is temporary episodes of bowel stasis due to imbalances in the autonomic nervous system leading to uncoordinated blood and nerve flow. However this is all something I'm researching a lot about and plan to share more moving into the future!

Also I've been watching vegetable police, he has been on an extended juice fast due to some pretty bad constipation, not sure if it is down to him having uc. Was wondering if juice fasts work for you and could they clear an obsruction

I personally wouldn't go down that route Pat.

Chris, thank you for this video. Currently on a flare (diagnosed with UC 2019) I've been given mezavamt. Bleeding has stopped and toilet visits have reduced. I'm planning to come off the medication What tips can you give me to deal with my flare and going forward please? Thanks Chris
@ChrisGascoigne13 жыл бұрын
Hi kirkford28, I can't give you too many tips currently, as the things I believe might be behind chronic inflammation are topics I'm currently researching - of course I'll share more on these topics in future videos. I would just say play it safe/sensible with foods and consider how important other lifestyle factors are too, like movement, sleep and minimising mental stress levels. Other than that all I can say is stay tuned with the vids!

Cheers chris. I love to be alone when im not good. So most of the time... did u any recouldnition from the doctors that the vaccines put you in an ibd state? What do u do for relaxing. I like to play vid games
@ChrisGascoigne13 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching Aaron, all the doctors deny that vaccs caused any of this, but they'll always be encouraged to say that, so most the time I just don't engage with them. Do a few things to relax mate, reading, walking, cycling and I enjoy gaming a little too :)

I was diagnosed with UC in 2019. I guess a vaccine could be a trigger for a flare, I had a regular flue jab shortly before my most recent flare. Also had the AstraZeneca 1st jab actually during the flare, when I was very ill and had lost a fare bit of weight. Then again, this was my 4th or fifth flare and the previous flares were triggered by other means. I think stress is a trigger for me and I notice I seem to be okay for x5 months, then it kicks off again with another flare.
