I have a bachelor's in chemical engineering from India's top 10 govt. Engineering colleges, a master's in the same discipline from one of USA's top 30 engineering schools. Came to india in 2015, applied for literally 100s of jobs (note that during that time crude prices dropped from over $100/barrel to around $20), for chemical engineers those years were comparable to what is happening to the mass IT lay-off post pandemic now. Then i started a small scale manufacturing unit in Tamik Nadu, using the state government's subsidy scheme for 1st generation entrepreneurs. Built the business from scratch, struggled to the point where suicidal thoughs were almost routine, barely survived the pandemic without sinking. I made less money in the last 7 years than what a bank FD would've given me, all while listening to people who know nothing about running a business, or those who suffer from survivorship bias (whose success can almost entirely be attributed to chance/luck/probability), about how loss in business is a normal thing and one must continue to struggle even when no hope is in sight. Finally bailed out and sold the business for less than what a bank FD would've given me. Now I neither want a fucking job nor do I want to start anything. Buy switch on the TV to see the whole nation glorify that idiot of a prime minister, who is busy building temples to appease the religious fanatics who want ram rajya for akhand bharat. Fuck these andh bhakth bastards who can't bother to dive deeper into the data, ignore all the propaganda and make rational choices. I regret coming back to India because now i see how selfish people are when they drive on the roads, i see how ignorant they are when they fall for the Ayush ministries bullshit, i see how corrupt they are at every level. This country has already gone to the dogs. I dont see any hope. Sorry, my fellow country men, because in today's India, jingoism & religious nationalism is what passes as patriotism. Jai hind.😢

​@@shamprasadrudraiah7034 Classic, was waiting for one of you to come and tell me that it was all my fault! son, i am 37 years old. my life experiences have taught me to stop blaming myself (after spending almost a decade in self loathing, asking myself where I went wrong, mentally beating my self up for even the smallest of mistakes i may have made as a result of just being a fkin human) because you can do everything wrong and still end up fine in life and you can do everything right and still get ass fucked. thats just the way things are, all around the world (ref. all those people born with birth defects/innocent people getting murdered everyday, people who die because of freak accident etc). people attribute this imbalance to gods/demons/karma/randomness/deeds done in past life/luck/astrology/line on one's palm/fate/the probabilistic nature of the universe in the quantum scale manifesting itself as uncertainity in the macro scale etc etc etc When we speak about luck/chance/probability. this is where the government comes in. if the govt. did its job right they could drastically improve the odds for most of us. unfortunately there will still be some unlucky ones, but fewer, much fewer. good governance will pump money into -Absolutely eliminating the lack of basics like food, clean water, housing, health care, disability benefits etc - scientific research & development for inovation. - high quality education to prepare a work force that'll meet the demands of tomorrow. - by doing the above India can slowly move away from a service based economy into a innovation & manufacturing hub. just google "degree holders lining up for clerical jobs & menial labour" and read these articles --- Over 93,000 candidates, including 3,700 PhD holders apply for peon job in UP; Aug 2018 --- PhD holders apply for SSC's clerical posts in West Bengal; Cycling to job security; Sept 2016 --- Engineers line up for peon jobs in Kerala; Oct 2023 --- 12.3 lakh apply for peon's post; June 2010 --- Over 55 lakh applications come in from BTech, MBA, master's degree graduates for Group D jobs in Uttar Pradesh; June 2023 also google why "advanced degree holders prefer to remain unemployed rather than take up jobs they are over qualified for" How much more do you need, to quit victim blaming and acknowledge that there is something systemically wrong here? the government CAN ONLY BE AS GOOD AS THE PEOPLE. ignorant, superstitious, religious zealots, who selfishly can only think about what he/she wants, people who are corrupt to the core at every level carrying their shitty "jugad" nature with pride, only deserve a goverment such as this. their inability to expect more from thier leaders not only make them suffer, but also the rest of us. To answer your question: If I had been successful in my venture I would tell you it was NOT because of this goverment, but IN SPITE of it. I would also probably be one of those people who suffer from survivorship bias, lecturing everyone about how persistant hard work, perseverance, and risk taking mentality (dare to dream, dream big) are the 'key to success' and talk some more cliche self-help bullshit that'll look good on a t-shirt. you're lucky i didnt succeed.

Unemployment problem in India in 2024 is worst.Companies have stopped visiting colleges for placement.Even top engineering and management colleges in India like the iits and iims are unable to provide 100% placement. But most sad part is noone is bothered about this problem

In India you can buy a degree and If can't buy then go and take admission in any university which doesn't require attendance and pass you by writing anything in the answer sheets. Bangladesh and china are providing better opportunity to them thats why manufacturing companies like these places. Other companies like digital/e commerce only what profits they don't wanna pay taxes here and try to operate from tax havens and countries not having defferd tax avoidance agreements and tax treatise with India. If we tell them to pay less tax in India then govt have to reduce corporate tax rates, on the other hand individual pays tax more than 30% If earns good money. Actually the whole system is just existing to run govt. they only want to win again where they're left or right. No party wants to change systems. Let's see if bjp try to change anything in taxation with income tax code and education with the help of new education schemes in future.

Twenty years back in my job search days, there used to be employment fairs and mad rush for interviews all the time. We used to go with a stack of our CVs. So this employment crisis today is not new. Every generation has faced it. Show me one phase in independent India when there was 100% employment and satisfaction. There was never such a period. Maybe today there are a lot more so called 'graduates' from all kinds of colleges. Just having a degree doesn't make anyone employable. The right skills are needed. In the age of AI, we are competing nationally, internationally and even with machines. I can only pity the young people. Not easy times for them.

Education is being deteriorated, major topics are being deleted in arts , commerce and especially science but these concepts are being asked in interview , the deleted portion plays an important role in building concepts , clearity of subject and hence plays a major role in cracking exams. Just because of not taking stress n academics pressure, govt is reducing and easing out syllabus day by day bcoz students suicide rate do matters to govt but the same students after getting graduated with partial knowledge are unable to get jobs, their suicide rate doesn't matter and govt simply says that he/she died bcoz of social pressure. No college professor wants to degrade their passing records, hence they pass most of the students in college in any course, even in the noble courses such as mbbs and engineering, that's y at the end of degree , the only thing a graduate remember in their graduation period is just their roll number.... Easing out syllabus is never an option as it will reduce more n more chances of getting jobs. Sirf pass hona ya achchi percentage Lana is not the matter, but what matters is the knowledge they seek during their education period jisse unko naukri mil ske ... Companies ko skillful log chahiye, sirf yunhi pass out hue bhed-bakri ni.. jb knowledge hi ni hogi, to kaahe ki naukri milegi, ...
