Honestly with their remaining schedule if they win out they may still be in. Tennessee and South Carolina at home and then at LSU. SEC Looks good this year and I think they put in 4 teams. They may need a little help with other teams losing but I think they have a legit shot. Teams have been dropping games left and right and a lot of teams ahead of them have no quality wins so 1 bad loss could drop them from the playoff

I don’t think it’s that likely that three of Texas, UGA, Texas A&M, and LSU lose another conference game and Vandy wins in tie breakers against teams that have two conference losses (they would in theory against Bama and Tennessee, but already not against Texas). Still, 9-3 in the SEC is impressive.

While Vandy IS having a good season this year, the respect you are looking for is not going to happen in 1 season. That comes with consistency and stringing together many good seasons and beating top tier teams each season. People not a fan of Vandy are of the mindset right now of "Oh how cute look at Vandy go this year. A Fluke season? Back to normal for them next season?" that type of thinking. This is what happens when your school is a perennial losing team for decades upon decades. It is going to take time and consistency each year for many years before people will buy into Vandy being a football power and no joke on the schedule.

Penn State was WAY over-rated. I knew that. So is Ohio State for that matter. You cannot be in the BIG 10 and not be over-rated. Ohio State will go down again when they face a real team like they went down vs Oregon. I would pick Vandy over Ohio State this year and maybe even South Carolina over them as well. Florida deserves a lot of credit for competing with Georgia through most of the game. Yes Beck has had interception problems but Florida used to struggle forcing turnovers. Florida played well but Dj getting hurt didn’t help. I just hope Warner gets good reps and can be a decent quarterback for the rest of the season.

as a Mizzou fan (also a bye week), I was watching the A&M game thinking there's still an outside shot Mizzou makes the playoff.. This year has been crazy thus far, and if it continues in the madness we watched yesterday. A lot of the top SEC teams still have to play each other. The right random combinations of wins and losses and Mizzou is right back in the same spot as bama. However im not sure we can win out even with a very winnable remaining schedule.

But now, at least LSU knows who they have to prepare for in Milroe. Doesn’t make him any less dangerous, though. Kid’s a freak despite his recent performance issues. That Mizzou game, I fear, was exactly what he needed to get himself right. Not to mention Joe Sloan needs his ass kicked for that terrible play calling against A&M. Guy put Nuss in some horrendous situations. But that’s what we get for BK promoting a green OC from within instead of going out and hiring a proven one.
