So I’m not Muslim. From my understanding is that what you believe is that in order to get to heaven, your good deeds must outweigh your bad deeds?

Sup bro! We believe this yes, we also believe that God is the most merciful and that we may attain paradise through His mercy.

@@JoeFL96 alright I see what you mean, I would agree that god is loving/merciful. I think you would also agree god is the judge, believing in justice. It wouldn’t make sense for the bad deeds to go unpunished because of the good deeds, at that point it’s almost like relying on your own self to get you in to heaven. (Analogy: a good judge would still punish a criminal for a crime they committed, the criminal tries to convince the judge that he has done good like donating to charity so he believes he doesn’t deserve jail. If the judge is a bad judge he would allow no punishment to take place and basically let it slide.) Since god is the perfect judge, he wouldn’t allow sinful people to enter his kingdom of heaven because of evil we have done. That means punishment must take place for us still. (I wouldn’t mind discussing more to get to the point, had to edit this 2 times to make it simple sorry lol.)

@@VitalParadox Muslims do believe in what you are saying though. We will never gain enough deeds to DESERVE heaven, even if we did absolutely everything we could. We gain it through his mercy alone. Also, a sinner does get punished in Islam in the grave or stays in hell for a while until he/she is purified. However a true believer will eventually be admitted into heaven after that punishment. Thats why being a Muslim isn’t a get out of jail free card. We still have to strive to do good and avoid sins. Even though we know Allah can forgive us just be asking, we never know when we can die and not get that opportunity to repent.

@@banandababa I can see your reasoning but I don’t think it would make sense for a god that is outside of time and is infinite with perfection, perfection and never changing and doesn’t associate with sin. Sin=death. The same as heaven and hell being eternal, outside of time. I believe hell or heaven is eternal, and what ever is chosen for us is our permanent destination because of god holy character (again full light and no darkness associated.) I still agree he is merciful and does provide us a way to get to heaven, and that is accepting Jesus Christ as your lord and savior. Why you may ask? Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, doing no wrong (How Jesus Christ lived.) He said he is god (god humbled himself and came in human form.) To Wrap it all up, he resurrected proving he is the way, the truth, the life. How do we know he resurrected? Through witnesses, appearing to 500 people, people seeing him resurrected. What if they are lying you may ask? Would the disciplines die for a lie? What could they possibly gain by dying with a lie? When it comes to other religions, people die thinking it is the truth. However, the disciples died knowing it is the truth by witnessing the truth (resurrection of Jesus Christ.) the final question now, why did Jesus Christ allow himself to be killed or other words why did he die? He died to saved all us fallen humans, making the ultimate sacrifice to take the punishment himself. He took our sin punishment, through that we know we are saved through him and him only, we cannot save ourselves so we needed a savior (basically Jesus Christ paid off our debt, our destination now is heaven and no longer hell.) The gift is FREE as long as you truly believe and accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior. This is all historical evidence. Bible made during Jesus Christ time. Bible still has its original meaning from its original scripture. (Don’t just take my word on it, I urge you to do research on all this stuff regardless, it’s good we see it ourselves and choose whether to accept it or not.) Now as for me if I wanted to live by my truth I wouldn’t choose a religion, I’d prob have the relativism mindset or an atheist mindset. I want to live for the absolute truth and not my truth, it’s led me to Christianity (Jesus Christ.) I say this from a stance to be humble, and all I want is to see my brothers and sisters in heaven and not hell. Some people choose to still not accept this gift because they love their sin more, their pride. The same sin that the devil had. That is why he also wants to deceives us now so we wouldn’t receive gods gift now. Why is it that Christianity is the most hated religion? Because the darkness(devil) doesn’t like the light (The truth, god.) the devil governs the world now sadly, this is why the world is fallen, why there is evil now. I recommend reading the Bible for your own, context matters. Still have doubts? I recommend watching knechtle or ray comfort. Look at when the Quran was made compared to the Bible. The mention of Jesus Christ in other religions as well proved for his existence. Archeological evidence kzbin.info/www/bejne/hpCZaX6chqt8ecksi=UngGjNKR1Xuf-u3t I’m no perfect Christian and I realize that, I’ve fallen short we all have. What I do will never be enough but it is through the love of Jesus Christ that I am saved. Being a Christian we are still going to fall into sin because we live in a corrupted fallen world. However, the Holy Spirit will start to work in us slowly to change what we desire, we won’t be perfect without sin now on earth like I said but we still start to hate sin and love truth and our desires will change naturally because of the love for Jesus Christ, the desire to obey him and get closer with him. We do it simply because we want to, not because we need to.

@@VitalParadox we repent for our sins and Allah forgives our sins after repenting and striving to better ourselves. Yes we not perfect but following the way of life(islam), God chose for the mankind is the first step towards our salvation. Jesus is a man a prophet he cannot do anything and tell me how can i beleive that someone (jesus) shed his blood and paid for my sins before I was even born ? Sins that I never committed? Also imagine u are in a court being judged for a crime u committed then someone walks in the court room and says let him go I paid for his crimes, is that acceptable?

Ahh yes, another cherry picker of religious doctrine. Imagine developing your own discipline, purpose, and working towards your own peace and happiness... not because something or someone is telling you to do so, but because you yourself understand the importance of doing so. Using religion as a means to change your life, means walking a delicate line. If the strength to better yourself does not come from within, it only means you are easily corruptible and weak.

Hey bro, I would argue that taking the strength from God, an all powerful entity, is a better model than deriving strength from within. You made a good point, human beings by nature are weak and susceptible to falling short. So it doesn't then make sense to derive that strength to better yourself from within* a weak being by nature. Wishing you all the best.

From a philosophical point of view, your case is super interesting. Although I absolutely believe that religion can have these positive effects, Islam's truth claims and morality are too outrageous for me to ever accept it, especially over other religions like buddhism or Christianity: perhaps I'd be happier with islamic prayer, but the hit my critical thinking would have to take is just too great for me to be able to justify. And then there's the fact that even if i wanted to convert, I wouldn't be able to, since this requires faith in the truth claims of islam, which although I am familiar with, I cannot choose to believe in. I'm happy Islam has been a way for you to improve your life, but I'm scared that these convictions will influence your decisions at the voting booth or when spreading information online. Either way, I enjoyed watching this video. Peace.

if islam is so amazing, then why are millions cheering after Iran islamic leader died? Islam is as close to lobotomy we can get without physically performing an invasive medical procedure. I wonder why most islamic countries are absolute hell holes. Islam is cancer for the mind
