Massive thanks to benny blanco for sharing your journey on 'Behind The Wall.' From creating chart-topping hits to now diving into the culinary world with his new cookbook, Open Wide, Benny proves that following your passions can take you anywhere. If you haven’t already, make sure to check out his cookbook. I had to order it myself-just like you saw in the interview, the version he has just has the number to Domino's in it, but trust me, the real one’s packed with actual recipes including a BTS cake! Might have to try to make that one. 🎂❤🔥 Also sign up for our newsletter: magic.beehiiv.com/v1/85d679b7-9db1-4923-85bd-a2463031cd17?email=

The biggest song writers of our time? What do you mean by biggest? Songwriters who make "chart topping hits?" I don't know how to ended up in this black hole pocket of youtube but I'm flabbergasted at how many people find real meaning in this ridiculous, ultra capitalist aspect of the music industry. All of his songs are candy. Shiny, pretty sounding toilet music. I mean even the thumbnail of this video quotes him as saying about himself that he doesn't have talent lol Good luck with your rotting teeth and brains.

I think the feeling IS all the little details. You don’t have to be consciously aware of it. But remove it all and the song will not feel the same. It’s like with food. My dad worked for 50 years in this industry. He summarized production by saying this : "Whether a sound is right or not or good or not is irrelevant. That's stupid question. Any sound is good if it fits the song. You cannot ever tell whether or not ANY sound is right by soloing it. Ever." If the snare needs to be an apple crunch cuz you think it fits, so be it! There is no "better" sound. That's the beauty of incorporating electronics and pedals and stuff. There is NO objectively "better" sound, VS a classical or jazz recording that has to "hi fi". Phase correlation almost doesn't matter, because our brain don't have a "real" equivalent of a beat or any other electronic piece of music, so it's not weirded out by the phase being off or whatever. There is a lot less engineering going on for us because there is a lot MORE engineering that's been done so what WE can be more free. I think that's beautiful.
