How Big Before Sauropods Became Untouchable?

Humans are too big to be taken by most dogs. But even an average 20 pound dog can cause trouble. And god forbid dealing with a pack of them.

There must have been plenty of young Sauropods to feed on,no need to risk injury on a 20 ton animal.

Given they have tiny heads on thin necks seems like they were open to attack to a carnivore that had enough spirit or desire

@@PrehistoricMagazine But if they came in at a 45 degree angle from the front, they had access to the head, neck and mostly unarmored shoulder area...The rear although probably meaty, would have the hips, tails, and rear legs to get through. But I feel a front attack would be easier.

Honestly man I’d say after 20-25 tons I’d say some what safe but even then if you have a 25 ton Sauroposeidon vs an 2 acrocanthosaurus I’d say the sauroposeidon is not going to make it if say around 30 tons there pretty safe but even then I’d say it has to do with environmental things like on dry ground rather then in mud all that type of stuff could be a huge change

Also how thick was the skin of a adult sauropod? If they are 5 times bigger than an elephant would there skin be just as thick?

@@PrehistoricMagazine If the skin was really thick Id say then it would be harder, plus is there any science on how much jaw pressure a theropod would need to get through that much meat and the angle of the attack needed, I mean sure a Allosaur can open wide but how will that effect the bite force and how much area can it take into its mouth.
