I retired from the Humble, Texas fire department. George Foreman lived in Humble. We would watch him running along the railroad tracks, shadow boxing. Once we transported his Aunt to the hospital. She was residing with Mr. Foreman and his family. Mr. Foreman asked to ride in the back with her. I remember looking at his hands. They were huge. One would make 4 of mine. He was a gentle talking, very polite man. I have a lot of respect for him. He never acted like a big shot or requested any special treatment. Just a genuine, nice person.

When you examine the span of Foreman's career, he may well be the best heavyweight boxer of all time. There may be boxers that were more capable in their prime, but being able to adapt to age and remain in the top tier until your late 40s really says something. He also may have been able to be relevant in boxing even after his final loss. Who knows how far he could have gone? Great video, but it’s a shame it didn’t acknowledge the absolute daylight robbery George suffered when they gave the decision to Shannon Briggs, whom George absolutely battered for 12 rounds. Won that hands down. 🇬🇧🥊

I think Foreman was the hardest puncher in boxing history the man could knock you out with a lazy Jab. If you look up the definition of the words heavy-handed you would see a picture of big George
@TheBatugan774 жыл бұрын
I believe George had immense strength, as opposed to great power. Tyson had phenomenal power. He was able to explode on impact. George could hit you anywhere, any time, clean or not...and it would hurt bad. Like he said, "Yeah I telegraph my punches, but the message gets through."

Wilder has the hardest punch, but George had the heaviest hands. Both of them are on the shortlist of people no one wants to get hit by but Wilder is more explosive making it a harder punch. If Foreman had Wilder's explosion he would've murdered people.

Prayer did nothing. It was foreman's hard work and devotion to his trade that won, not the evil imaginary christian god.
@StupidMindFactory2 жыл бұрын
Prayer was the reason this miracle happened. And bigger than winning this fight was the change of his life before. He knows who did that for him, and thats the reason for his prayer. I pray that the same blessing comes to your life D. Rabbit. God is not evil, he is the way out of destroying selfishness and being restless. Through Jesus he gives you peace and joy.

@d.rabbit72762 жыл бұрын
@@janemaria8912 Interesting. When in the history of man did we get to the point when someone disagrees with someone or make a cogent argument, the immediate response is troll. This particular god is a wicked vile creature that forces his servants to kill and steal. Endorses slavery and incest. Make his people sacrifice animals, get involved in human sacrifice, and cannibalistic and vampire-like rituals. Hell, he even made the Israelites eat their own children as a punishment. When we consider he made a bet with satan against his most loyal servant (which he brought Job up to Satan) and set all the pieces up in the garden, despite knowing the future, it's safe to say he's a pretty despicable and petty entity. In closing: Even though there's zero evidence of his existence and he never shows up. The christian god is a arrogant, oppressive, hateful, bigoted, detestable, misogynistic, and wicked megalomaniac. And nothing actually changes in our lives without human involvement or interaction. You people's excuse for this phenomenon is: Faith without works is dead. What a joke.

After Big George got rope-a-doped by Ali & Jimmy Young, retiring- I met him on my lunch hour from Managing President's First lady Health Spa at the Bellaire Mall, Houston. He was leaning over a jewelry counter and I ask him if he was George? "No man, I'm Harvey, I play for the Houston Honchos." So I invited him to a free workout at the club. He showed up that afternoon and my instructors took him through a workout. He hadn't touch a weight in some time, so he was all pumped up and gasping by the time he was done..... fast forward to guarding world leaders at the Bakersfield Business Conference, and George shows up. I asked him if he remembered me? George said, "You're him, you're that guy!" Yes, I helped get George started back to that second world title... God Bless you George!
