How BIG is an Olympic Swimming Pool?

Do you know how big an olympic swimming pool is? Unless you are a competitive swimmer, most people think their neighborhood pool with lap lanes is an olympic pool. But that's incorrect. So how BIG is a true olympic pool? What other dimensions, like depth and width, are required? What other factors are needed?

Ideally how big a land should a true olympic pool be? An acre?

An acre could be enough, but you'd need to factor in deck space, equipment, access, etc. It would be safer to have more like 1.5 or 2 acres.

Official Olympic pools are 2 meters deep. As for more pictures, video editing is not our forte. Clearly.
