The evolution of the project is very interesting, great job! Of course scale is a challenge, since as a model it has to be referenced to other models in the same universe. But Sci-fi is very forgiving: in a low-gravity planet, such behemoths could be useful. In our world, some vehicles for polar exploration are rolling arches. You may be interested in the video " Arctic Convoy With Giant Mack Trucks". In such a sci-fi environment, this truck could be compatible wiht the Epson Space Airlock building. The scale I'm using for my DIY models is 1:64, which is also the scale used for Warhammer miniatures. I guess it can be useful to make some miniatures to learn how to play with them before buying them. Also, smal scales don't take up as much room / volume as larger ones. Regarding wood, yes I came to the same conclusion that it is not an easy material to work with. For the vehicle's axle holes, I would suggest making wire loops instead of drilling through the structure, as a bonus it would enable you to place them above or below and link them to suspension systems. These thin styrofoam sheets look marvellous, I don't plan to use them because I had to restict myself to use only materials that are free and commonly available even in underdevelopped economies. Plastic and metal are not porous and are this difficult to glue in place, I image styrofoam to be very porous and thus ideal for glueing. I'm intrigued to see the next video :) :)

Haha LOL at Epson Space Airlock building! You have a good very valid point... In a low gravity environment bigger might be better! Both this project and the Airlock Diorama one WILL be linked (keep watching to find out as all will be revealed one day!), so perhaps similar scales will apply... I am definitely going to revisit scale when it comes to model building, will be a video in the new year! I enjoy your "recycle/reuse" policy on building models! I do try and adopt a similar philosophy myself (as you will have probably already noticed)... I try and make out its because I'm environmentally focused, but in reality its because I'm tight with money! 🤑😅🤣😂
