Are YOU aggressive or tight with your poker bankroll? 🤔

I started off with a $15 online deposit in 2010 and never added since I did almost go broke in the first few weeks when I started playing $15 Sngs but dropped down to micros then ran it up into thousands. I keep a very tight bankroll with 100 entries now.

I agree with your point about shoving with ATC with a 10ish BB stack. I find it's better to wait a couple orbits until youre down to 3-5 BB or, preferably, to shove light with 20ish BB.

Mike Caro, the Mad Genius of Poker, said the "Three buy-in limit" is the way to go: if you buy in three times and lose all three, quit, the game is too hard and it's not going your way. Cut your losses and end the night before it ends you and your wallet.

I never understand these sort of bankroll sizes for live poker. They must be for online games. They assume microtracking of every live session. Who the hell tracks the exact number of hands they play in a 6 hour live session at the local casino once a week? And who has tens of thousands of dollars spare? It’s just not reflective of any real world I live in. Maybe for pros. But then who’s this video aimed at??

There are almost zero poker pro's, at least in the sense of 100% of their income comes from only playing poker.

How does a new player gain an edge, or where do you start to learn to be more profitable? Im a new player, played about 5 tournaments and cashed..... wait for it.... 0 times! :)

You learn in three ways: personal experience, research and study the massive data base that exists for free, or you can pay experts. The experts, like Mr. Little, will repackage information for you, but its information you can already get without paying a lot of money. Its like paying an expert to help you lose fat. Is it possible to permanantly lose large amounts of fat? Yes. Will I be able to? Probably not, but if you pay me, subscribe to my service, buy my products, etc, I will show you how the tiny number of people who have been successful have done it. But I wont tell you that all this information is already virtually free.

@@conorm2524 he seems like a young guy who is doing well to "invest" his money into his brand/KZbin.. he said he made 8k last month which is his bankroll right now. He is growing at a rapid pace because of it. If he gets to double his numbers at the end of this and is making 16k a month. And goes back to more normal poker content with his energy. It's worthwhile to do what he is doing. A bit rediculous but it could work. And if it doesn't... He really isn't losing that much

In Texas 1-3 and or 1-2 games you can definitely make $20’Hr EASY …
@wecvgb9
@wecvgb9 4 ай бұрын
really. 20 per hour, easy. If true, then ask yourself this question: do I rely on any source of income or support other than playing in 1-3 or 1-2 games? If yes, then you are a liar. If no, then you must be very wealthy by now. What is your net worth? At 10 hrs per day, with taking 4 weeks off per year total, thats almost 70, 000 dollars.

I don't necessarily agree with that larger win rate indicates smaller br, usually larger bb/100h also indicates deeper game or wilder actions, thus higher variance.
@goodfractalspoker7179
@goodfractalspoker7179 10 ай бұрын
While you may not agree with it, it is of mathematical fact that a higher observed win rate means less variance as variance is a byproduct of observed win rate and always occurs before a win rate is observed.

It is very much luck-driven in live poker unless you are playing thousands of hours a year, the variance will never really balance out and you won't ever know your winrate. Well over 99% of players can not beat the rake/dealer tips at lower limits, especially in high-rake environments.

That's not true. Been tracking my hrs. I average $53 an hr at 2/5 live cash games. 926 hrs tracked I didn't add all the tips I gave for drinks and food while playing as well.
@pandabearguy1
@pandabearguy1 10 ай бұрын
@@sumyungchong Your results don't say much about the average/expected results. Pretty simple statistical analysis shows that a good player (realtivt to his opponents) winning 5BB/100BB on average (true win rate) in 8 handed NLHE has to play more than 100 000 hands for the variance to start decrease enough to get reliable results. Higher variance formats would require 500k - 1M hands. If you're playing complete morons and you can have a true win rate of 100BB/100BB then you need less hands, but in competitive games a strong player is happy to be in 5 range. The higher the stakes and the tougher the games, the harder it is to have a true win rate higher than 4-5. Given a true win rate of 5bb/100bb and you play 50 000 hands at $5/$10 or whatever, the variance will so big that there's like a 25% chance you lose money over 50 000 hands with a signifcant true win rate.
