We required few cold control bi-metalic strips. When the room temperature reach +20 degree ,the fan must be off.

Which two metals are used in that stem ?

Hi. I 've one in the oven. Why the bimetalic termometer don´t return to 0° when it's off?

Hi... How it will come to zero .. it will return to ambient temperature !! Like atmosphere temperature.

You didn't really explain why a single the use of bimetallic strips are better suited for thermostats rather than single strips. All you said is that single strips don't move as quickly, but why? Your example of a heated ball not fitting through a circular loop does nothing to prove that point. Can you elaborate as to why single strips are more ineffective than a bimetallic setup?

Different co efficient of thermal expansion

The main reason behind using the bimetal is as follows...if we use a single metal then the expansion is too small to notice unless the sample size is high...as the expansion is microscopic it is difficult to calibrate...instead if we use two metals having higher and lower coefficient of expansions...the difference in the expansions makes the strip to bend such that makes the deflection detectable
