I think most people would, I was a 13 year old seeing the first Jurassic park movie, it was breath taking at the time but despite errors I still watch it as a 36 year old, the sequels not at all, they tried to sci-fi it up to much, the original was based on possible science for the time, and we even got moron's trying to replicate the science, yes they seen the movie and thought that's a good idea, I don't know about you but don't want a traffic jam due to a Carnitaurus on my way to work.

Maybe Hollywood will grow a pair and actually use the book, I somewhat think that they don't have the balls to not add a science fiction element more, I think the original was good not as good as the book because less graphic death's but I full understanding of the discussion of PG 13 because children love dinosaur's, maybe one should be a 18+ movie but would lose charm for gore, I probably would watch still if it was the original cannon.

I think it would be the perfect opportunity for an HBO miniseries. Barely any of it was put into movies and it's an excellent story to be segmented out. There is plenty of mystery and intrigue for episode cliffhangers.

My Mother was not into Dinosaurs. She had a 40’s and 50’s mindset. So when I begged her as a 9 year old to take me to see Jurassic Park in 1993, she reluctantly took me. Her mind was BLOWN🤯 when they showed fast moving dinosaurs and the idea they were closely related to BIRDS😱 was a shocker for her. She left the theater amazed and announced 3.25 each ticket was WORTH IT. This movie was going to become a classic! I had to do a bunch of extra chores and she only took me at the last minuet. She feared the PG-13 rating. The opening scene scared her and I could tell she contemplated taking me out of the theater because of it. But the scene with the Brachi sealed the deal. Her eyes opened in shock and wonder as the CGI dinosaur 🌳🦕 grazed on that tree. This was NOT her generations dinosaurs. 😅She loved the movie, but to this day she does not care for feathered dinosaurs. That is to much for her!

honestly I don´t know how Michael Crichton didn´t write a third book that deals with these topics. The idea of living dinosaurs all around the world is a good stuff to incorporate in a new incredible story where... I don´t know, a special team is in search for these last living dinosaurs and having the Byosin minions as the main antagonists and even we can explore the idea of the fall of Byosin by this special team. That would be a really good idea and that could be a real and well deserving ending for the work of Michael Crichton. Who´s agree? let me know please! I want a third Jurassic Park book!

@@ivantheterrible2594 Crichton wanted to write a script for the third movie (not a novel though) but apparently Spielberg wasn't on board with his ideas (even Johnston didn't like Spielberg's idea of Grant being a Robinson Crusoe-like character stowed away in one of InGen's dino islands). So he bailed out of the project early. There was apparently a time where the wholeJP3 movie was going to be Grant being the dino-expert for a military expedition dealing with dinosaur attacks in the mainland with Grant being stranded in Sorna with one group and a different group dealing with the rogue dinos that escaped the island. Spielberg and Johnston apparently canned the entire script a few weeks before filming was going to begin. The whole rescue mission plot was just a last ditch attempt to salvage the project.

This is a very good point made in the book that I find true now more than ever. People have been making a push to represent the softer side of dinosaurs, which I generally like, as that side hasn’t been represented that much in history, but now it seems to have gone too far, with some people seeming to be almost afraid of representing the dark side of nature. They’ve become obsessed with this cute view of nature, viewing deadly predators as big teddy bears to hug and take selfies with.

I know JPtG said Dr. Wu suggested frog over bird since it would be quicker... but why specifically "frog" DNA? Why not another amphibian, or a reptile, or whatever? And if they really wanted to stick with frogs, did they use different species of frogs for different species of dinos? I doubt a single species' DNA would be able to work for every kind of dinosaur, like theropods and sauropods. Oh, then there's the pterosaurs and mosasaurs, they aren't even dinos! Could they still have used frog DNA then? I think it'd make for a great new video!
