Nice video. Agreed with a lot of the suggestions. I quit SOD pvp weeks ago, stopped playing SoD because it's trash, went back to vanilla which always holds a special place to me. Which is a shame, blizz had/has the potential to make something very interesting and fun, but the last time I had fun in pvp on SoD was STV event at 50.

There is an arena in the very back of orgrimmar, it would be cool for them to implement it as a FFA arena just like the gurubashi arena. I'm sure they could add something similar in stormwind with the few uninstanced portals in that city.

I think the HK honor boost we got in BGs ph5 is sufficient now. It would be better to increase the objectives bonus in AB and WSG while reducing the hand-in reward to like 1600. Right now even with 1 mark, AB losing is still very tempting if the team is overpowered.

Tauren also have a larger hitbox so they can hit things from farther away. I am VERY against making the classes cross faction, but allowing selectable racials through something like a "Heritage system" could work, like a human can be from Stormwind, Stromgard, Dalaran, etc. with each "heritage" having different racials

they just needed to not give horde blessing of freedom, blessing of salvation, blessing of kings, fear ward, and weapon skill. In og classic I and others believe that having shamans vs paladins was balanced for certain situations and their toolkits were equal. Sure, paladins have some crazy blessing buffs that shamans didnt have, but purge is just an insane ability that counters those buffs. Now shamans have all of that plus purge, and the instant healing that they didn't have in classic (I don't believe holy paladins can instant heal as well as shamans in sod).

BRM should be an instance version of the inside of the mountain where the other portals cannot be accessed, and it’s simply single elimination Team that wins gets a big honor chunk. Dead people can run as fasts ghosts to see the battle, or just leave and miss out on the chance to win.

Little side note of retail pvp. with the solo rbg's now out i did have a decent bit of fun getting to 1800 to get the og yellow grand marshel set and weapons. i still prefer my classic warrior though

Let me had one. Only allow solo or duo que for regular BGs. Implemented rated BGs for those who want to premade. Make the rewards from rated only cosmetic for prestige.

Use gurubashi as an arena spot and you can sit in the stands and spectate but you can’t enter the instance unless you’re que’d up against some, solo, duos, trios or 5’s. And make vendors at the top where they were for original stv event. Have actual rewarding PvP stuff so there’s a difference in PvP players and PvE, obv maybe 1 pve trink or some item would help but that’s it.

Also to add on to this comment, maybe add a tournament ground spot as you mentioned within the main cities, where you could queue up and same concept as mentioned above. We need our knights in the game who protect our faction and we need our PvE heroes. Most of us just like myself thrive off of PvP, it’s just more fun and it’s competitive in a different concept. Please blizzard listen to us 🙏

@@youwish4473 Shamans is still more broken than paladins as i said in a other comment: why do you think when AB gave x2 marks for losing it was always the meta to let horde win and ally lose ? the map on both side is about the same so cant be the map both factions has all classes but paladins/shamans if paladins was broken then the meta would be let horde lose so its a clear 100% proof that shaman is 100% broken and paladins is not and the horde is the balancing issue here

agree with a lot of what's said here but the STV event was complete dog shit and it WAS dominated by certain team comps, also adding more honor to HKs would just incentivize further for alliance to deathball in AB while the horde 5 cap...not a solution. The solution is faction balance and new pvp events/rewards.

Nerf Shamans & Buff Mages(PVP specific not PVE): currently they are full out a PVE class and legit the full reverse issues shamans has even as the class known for CCs and some mobility they are somehow bad in this meta) also the PVP reduction aura is 40% on spells but 30% on physical but melee/hunter dont really use mana so technical casters using 40% more mana on damage and it hurts extra much on mages specific: fun to "maybe" cast a 2.5 cast time spell (while all other casters has bursty low CD instant casts now in SOD) only for it to do under half the damage than a Hunter´s chimera shoot that is a 6 sec. cooldown, instant cast, 1-3 shoots mages, 0 mana usages, 0 downsides meanwhile each time that % gets higher its a indirect buff to shamans and a big nerf for mages making the gap bigger from worst to best class in sod pvp 1 version of this Aura i saw a clip of the best possible gear you could get in phase2 Mage with most mana/Dmg: they was unable to kill a lower geared Mage with minus stamina before out of mana while that low stamina mage was 100% AFK and did not do anything at all why do you think when AB gave x2 marks for losing it was always the meta to let horde win and ally lose ? the map on both side is about the same so cant be the map both factions has all classes but paladins/shamans if paladins was broken then the meta would be let horde lose so its a clear 100% proof that shaman is 100% broken and paladins is not Shamans and racials on horde is the issue here and some classes has being powercreeped so much out of PVP to the point they are just a full out PVE class not just a spec is a PVE talent but the whole class: Mages as a example played SOD since launched and hoped to PVP as a Mage but ended up i kinda just login for the weekly BWL raid and barely not much else and then log into Retail for spamming BGs "for fun" not even for rewards on a retail wow mage instead becuase it felt alot more "fair" to play there compare to SOD becuase as a ally mage really not fun to cast a 2.5 sec. cast time thing only for it to do like 5-10%(with a crit) dmg of somebody´s HP while they can move at the speed of sound, 1-3 shoot you, 0 resources used and so on and there is nothing you can do about it and all Mage´s CC is more Dely your death than CC into a kill or big damage(btw im not shit geared right now im basically BIS for phase4 and got phase5 pieces) i feel like im playing a classic/TBC mage in terms of theirs tool but every other class feels like im against a cata or beyond version of them now heck even warriors got meathook(Deathknight´s grip) not even as a rune but baseline thing while we mages only got new rank of conjure water that is not even as good as BIS water RN legit ALL classes but mages got baseline buffs/baseline extra abilities used in combat of theirs vanilla spells/extra abilities and so on even Shadow priest got theirs shadow form talent buffed meanwhile frost mage´s Ice barrier is still same absorbing damage and its gone after x1-2 ticks of a Dot : you know our final talent in the frost tree i feel like the final talent on a spec´s tree should be usefull and good but its not also we use 40-50% of our mana to buff up after a respawn basically in a BG legit the only usage i have for a SOD battleground is at start before the match start for the infinite Mana buff to spam conjure water to be ready for the raid and trade water for the raid´s healers/casters and then leave as soon full bags or match start why even farm honor for pvp gear if im against powercreeped af classes that is objectively broken and 1v5 people with 0 braincells we Need Proper PVP Balancing on classes and races not just that PVP aura dmg reduction and call it a day becuase a flat out buff/nerf to all effects classes differently: mages using 40% more mana basically, shamans is god tier of unkillable and still the damage and if removing that aura it is also a issue now becuase mages still has too much 2.5 cast stuff while others dont so its back to instant cast 1shots again and only 1 of those mages has is a 2min cooldown that kills all your mana while others has 0 downsides

Agreed with everything you said except shamans and paladins being non-exclusive for one faction. Blizzard seems just don't care about pvp players in SoD anymore. I would love to see the ways to obtain more gear via pvp, not only one set, but something more, maybe raid items too. Also, do u remember Highmaul Coliseum in WoD? A big free for all arena with the epic chest for the last standing guy. I think it will fit perfectly in SoD vibe. And some kind of rated bgs will be cool too.

Before the video even starts i wanna say that imo indeed pvp and wpvp is THE best way to keep players engaged and loving the game. Developpers have put in our hands a fantastic world and i feel like players and guilds in general are sooo lazy to not create opportunities to have fun, it's all there ready to be enjoyed endlessly yet people devolve into raid logging. Very weird, sheep behaviour. Maybe if incentives for wpvp where stronger then she sheep would herd themselves to this kind of gameplay more. I'm using degrading language but what can i say, i really feel like we're spoiled and people can't take advantage of their chance. Look at people like Payo, having ENDLESS fun, creating unexpected situations everyday. You get these by interacting with HUMANS, people who are bored with raids and min maxing parsing etc should realize that their weird strats have more chances to work on/in synergy with humans !! Will edit after watching your vid to comment on your ideas EDIT : man the spitballing passage.. whyyyy don't they include people like you in their teams and try stuff like that out.. all of your ideas are awesome... the bounty system to protect lowbies is sooo cool... Man please push these ideas harder, get in contact with them idk, these simple ideas ARE powerful enough to make the game perfect. How sad would it be if they realease classic + without ever implementing these ? The biggest miss of a lifetime, even after 20years of player feedback...

People claim they want classic but in the end they don't. The bitching and moaning about nothing to do but raid log is a sad retail symptom. I have played since the release of the game. I got Grand Marshal in Vanilla. Like you, we would raid to get better gear for pvp. When world defence channel would go off multiple raid goups would responde to the conflict. Dueling all day was the way to master and counter every class and spec. I'm not sure if we can get back to those days.

It's not a joke. It can significantly affect 1v1 particularly. Try playing as a human rogue vs an orc warrior and then the opposite and tell me its roughly the same thing. Sure in group fights the effects are smaller but the racials are the main reason why pvp oriented people choose horde, which massively affects the total faction results and further encourages this sort of selection. So whether directly or indirectly, the racials are the problem.

Racials rarely will make a difference between skilled players. Homogenizing is never the answer. Adjust racial power, fine, but letting people pick and choose is bad imo. In Vanilla, Alliance was always better in pve, and horde was better in pvp.

I disagree with most of your points. Choosing racials is a no-no for me, racials don't make enough of an impact on pvp anyways. people usually just use racials as a cope or excuse for losing. Tauren paladin and Dwarf shaman? No thanks I want to keep my faction identities. Balance pvp for 1v1? Idk how that would even be possible, would need a complete rework of every ability in the game. Group PvP is more fun anyways. 1v1 arena? Sure that sounds cool, 2v2, 3v3 would be more interesting though. Blackrock 40 man? Noooo thank you lets go back to 5 person groups like in stv. Or just make stv good again. The rest sound pretty cool. Kind of funny that you think shamans and hunters are the best classes when its very clearly moonkins followed by rets though.

I agree with most except picking Racials and Sham/Pala not being bound by faction. I really like the diversity in looks and appearances you get by having some restrictions there. Orcs suddenly shadowmelding would be wierd imo. Honor in BGs should come from killing people who are able to fight back. E.g ganking peopl on GY shouldnt give much more honor than wiping the team 2 or 3 times. But fighting an even battle where both teams keep dying and respawning should give lots of honor. Objectives should modify this honor gain. E.g you gain more honor in AB from kills while the score is 1200-1300 than if it is 1400-0 or 0-0 But they really should turn the big racials into more flavorful and utility things and make the combat ones less impactful. Maybe put orcs stun-resist on their healing-debuff from Blood fury. Undead will puts trinked on a cd like retail. Stuff like that.

Why do we need stinking shamans! you just need to make similar abilities, for example, add an Exarcism property to slow down like an ice shock, remove magic from the target, and if you throw it into the caste, close the school of magic! Totems, add the puddle ability to slow down, add an instant flash drive, and the sacred shield reflect damage back and regenerate mana! That's all it's like a shaman!

giving classes an answer to everything is called pruning, and is exactly the direction retail went in. In vanilla shaman vs paladin (or basically horde vs alliance) was dependent on the situation. I consider paladins to be much more defensive with bubble, blessings, and cleanse (friendly dispell only), with shamans being much more offensive with windfury and purge (enemy dispell only). In sod, they gave horde way too much and alliance practically nothing. Shamans now has every blessing except for bop, and horde has access to weapon skills. Giving fear ward to horde is also way too much. Alliance doesn't have anything to deal with fear except for dwarf priest fear ward, while horde already had tremor totem with all shamans. The devs just have no idea about what made classic pvp interesting and unique, and as a result gave horde pretty much every advantage that alliance had, with alliance only getting windfury.
